I see Nadal only won 1 point in the tiebreak first set as well. That's a shocker.

Great comeback by Roger, particularly how he took the breaker. Typical AWOL third set by the ruggedly toughnut French geezer...

Stubborn Federer wanted to prove that it is possible to win an important match even if you fail to convert almost 20 break points. I remember some RG finals... 2x17 in one if I am not mistaken.

53 x 9 is combined H2H from RF and ND against SW and DF, and yet one cannot say that RFxND is the "real" final (if ND gets there).

Scrappy wins like this are a good sign for Roger as he had a few of them in early 2012 as well. As Murat said if this was last year...forget about it.

Yeah something like that in one RG final alright. Atrocious. And it's not like they were all points won by Nadal either. Well, they were...but you catch my drift. Roger blew a load of chances.

So now Roger will rest and put on his GGL jersey :)

I rarely root against Djoker unless he is playing Roger. Can't say I'm rooting for it today but I wouldn't complain. Not a chance it happens of course.

^ Likewise. I like to see Novak win too unless he's playing old Wodge.

Especially if he's playing young Ralphy, eh? ;)

Same problem for Novak now as with Roger. Huge pressure to win since Rafa lost. Could make things very tricky.

What word goes hand in hand with water? Pressure. Roger and Novak were/are feeling it!

I disagree there. Nole doesn't worry about Rafa like Roger does obviously. This is just a case of the bad Nole showing up so far. It's early.

Darkness might be a factor now. One and a half hour to sunset.

Not sure...

Of course Novak had his served at "room temperature" as instructed.

2nd break to GGL

What is happening for those who can't watch, I mean geeze, has he been broken twice?
