Rafa must have nothing else to do. He broke Ferrer in the first point and then went AWOL. Bizarre breaker. Good one by Ferrer though. Game on! :clap

Ferrer takes the set. In all honesty, Nadal was just absolute crap in that tiebreak. Still, an 85 minute set. A lot of great points and many arduous rallies. Did not expect any of these things!

That's it. The order of things reversed there. And now it gets interesting.

I wonder if Mastoor is reading this to see how many Nadal fans have already scarpered for the door... :laydownlaughing

Not often you see Rafa lose a tiebreak 7-1 let alone to Ferrer.

It would be a major kick up the hole for Rafa if he loses this match...

It sure would. But even if he wins today, he's not leaving Monte Carlo victorious. Not playing like this. :nono

Why is Nadal depriving us of Rafa/Stan 2? He did the same @ IW.

No, I believe it was Stan that went out first there. And Rafa's not out yet, Matt.

Rafa never avoided anybody, anywhere, ever. He goes through them all.

But he's playing horrific here, even worse than he did on hards...

Ah yeah, you're right there. My bad. I hope Rafa's not out. I really want to see Stan/Nadal. Rafa just looks quite downcast since that TB... He can easily win this off his racket but he needs to step it up a bit. Or, conversely, wait for the inevitable Ferrer choke.

He's leaving it late. The way Rafa's serving, Daveed may be able to afford to choke a couple times and still win...
