Dang, Mussetti double bageled his compatriot Luca Nardi. Is he actually “back” ?

I always wondered why someone even played a tournament if they couldn't keep the ball in play! I was in an under 21 event years ago and this poor slob was so bad, I had to DF 4 times to give him a game! My parents wondered "WTF?!" Other times I'll hit into a strength b/c I hated bageling guys!

Just looking at the schedule for tomorrow

Medvedev v Zverev their H2H is Meddy 7-6 though this will be their first match on clay
I feel Sasha moves better on clay, than Medvedev, when I watch Medvedev on clay getting to a ball he reminds me of a 'bull in a china shop' he slides soo way on a HC, being a HC specialist:), it would not surprise me at all if Sasha wins.

I dont know where you found that article to the one I found but it does sound better to the one I found,
I have worked and lived in Germany, German people can be very direct and arrogrant, that is just a trait of their personality I guess,
when you get to know them better, they are fine, they are very hard working people. So personally I dont hold anything against Sasha, though as times he has to Engage Brain Before Speaking as people can take his words out of context, especially the media, where at times they only want to write not the whole story just parts thereof I see you got that article from Tennis Majors,'I got my article from a tennis journalist, who just picked out bits and pieces from what Sasha said..
I lived with a couple of German guys in Madrid. Total sweeties, but everyone once in a while one of them would say something just brutally direct. Everyone (Spaniards, US, French, English) would be sort of shocked, but not the other German guy. He's say, "What? He's just being honest." And all the rest of us would just kind of say, "But nobody says it like that...." That said, Sascha's remarks, taken out of context and mixed around, DID sound more arrogant than he clearly intended.

Surely Zverev is the much better clay player. I'd favor him, too. Today I heard Daniil talking to Prakash Amritraj after his match and he says he tries to take a positive and professional attitude when it gets to the clay season, but then he gets on it, and remembers why he doesn't love it. (The guy is funny.) Your comment reminded me of Sharapova's famous comment about herself on clay: "cow on ice."

I know @Front242 has always held out hopes for Meddy on clay, since he beat Novak at MC some years back. Nothing to sneeze at. We'll see if he ever really learns to embrace it. He could add a clay coach.

You’re too nice Fiero.

Thats because you're not a blood thirsty killer like most champs, you remember when Borg best the American player (Moore?) at the French one year, i think it was a bloodfest, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1. The American player thought about sinking to his knees in jubilation because he barely escaped a triple bagel.

And Borg?

'I never feel sorry for any opponent. When I go out there to play I just go out to win my match. If its 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, that's fine,' he said.

Borg would bagel his mother if he had too! Cold hearted Swede assassin.

Remember when America’s sweet heart The one and only Chris Evert double bageled her own sister Jeanne Evert ? Her own sweet baby sister!

Those champs have ice in their veins, i tell ya.

Actually I was just reading that a lot of tennis journalists after seeing what Sasha said, which was taken out of context, to begin with, have asked for journalist's to be more careful what they post, they should post the full content, not just parts there of, which I totally agree with.

Just come back from training for my new job, ( part time ) catching up with matches I missed,

Impressed with Qualifer Jan-Lennard Struff who dismantled Alex De Minaur, he faces Casper Ruud in his next match, it will not be a easy match for Ruud.

Casper ghosted the tourney by promptly exiting in R4

Novak looks pretty rusty out there too, as though rather than practicing on the clay he was sitting on a boat off the coast of Florida or something!
Yeah, he won a set but plays rather poorly too.

And the break back. What's with the rock 'n' roll sleeve on Novak's elbow? Definitely some rust on him still.

I was wondering about it too. Never saw him play with this. Musetti needs to consolidate the break here.

Only he's about to give it back...again. (And he did.) I like young Musetti and would like to see him get the back to good form. He's got an excellent opportunity with a slightly scraggily Djokovic, but he doesn't seem ready to make the most of it.
