I admire and am always wary of Gilles; he's a real stealthy and bold fighter. He has no fear of anyone in the other side. He does his thing and takes a big scalp now and then. I have always liked his grit and style.

I agree with you, but, boy, some people really dislike his style.

I'm not really a fan to be honest. I've always thought of Gilles as a "Beat the wall" type of opponent. Solid, good defence, good wheels... doesn't make too many mistakes. A frustrating opponent.

I was curious to see if Borna could follow up on his good week in Marocco, but he did not losing today to Chardy.
This next generation is really underwhelming for me.

That is exactly what I mean--the guy has stones and mental fortitude. I admire that about him. I don't particularly like his STYLE of hitting the ball, in fact it's a bit ugly. I do believe, though, that he is one not to be taken lightly by the top dogs. He can frustrate the hell out of them--like he's doing with Nole right this minute.

Agreed, he's got a pair for sure... and always a tough out for anybody. I admire his tenacity.

Looks like a shock could be on the cards here! Simon up a break in the decider!

To me, this is the game. If Novak breaks it's over, but instead he makes tie routine errors. The closer at the end of the set, the more concern I have for Novak moving on.

I won't be shocked if he wins, but I'll be surprised if he gets it done in this game.

I really admire the fight here. How many crosscourt backhands was that?

He should be + on the points as he lost here in the same round last year. Seems a long time ago... but he was seemingly invincible at the time.

Horrible volley from the Frenchman, but good grit from both. I'm glad Nole won as it should give him a confidence boost and tennis needs him back in the mix. Now let's see what Sir andy and Rafael do.
