Hopefully he won't have anything to celebrate after the match, either. ("Evil one." Pfft. Took me a while to figure out who you were talking about, Thiem or Goffin.)It's Sascha's 20th birthday today, hopefully he didn't celebrate before the match
Rafa is destroying him 5-1 in the first. Kind of going back to yesterday not being the worst thing for Rafa. Gets a surprisingly serious challenge right away and that gets him sharp and focused for what figured to be a good test.
Thiem-Goffin always have good battles. Thiem does figure to have the edge on clay in this matchup and is serving up a break at 3-2 in the third.
EDIT: Goffin breaks for 3-3 and the evil one serves the youngling a breadstick
Hopefully he won't have anything to celebrate after the match, either. ("Evil one." Pfft. Took me a while to figure out who you were talking about, Thiem or Goffin.)
Must have been a brain fart from me. I do love how much he irritates you.If that took awhile you must have forgotten who I am Foxie I don't care how bad Nads has struggled, I want him out of the tourneys as quickly as possible.
Goffin takes him.

Agreed about Thiem...solid but not spectacular in any way. Though I thought he'd have a better chance against Novak. But we'll see how Djoker is looking today. He was far from convincing in his first match.Yep, I do like Thiem's game but I think he is the one of the guys that people jumped all over in hopes that he'd become a big-time player. I don't see that future for him, a good 2nd tier player and that's it.
On a side note it's crazy to think Nole has fallen so much that I don't necessarily expect him to get through a Carreno-Busta and Mcfly gauntlet.
I didn't see Zverev's first 2 matches, but he was sharp as a tack by all reports. Rafa's playing much cleaner than yesterday, but Sasha is sloppy and seemingly unprepared. He's being a bit of a brat, too.
