SerMuzz puts some good returns in play and take the 2nd set forcing a decider

Got to go to a meeting, but the dream team is down 2 breaks in the decider. I don't see them climbing back in this one

There's a specific reason why we lock the main thread at a certain point. If we leave the main thread open, we would be moving posts left and right to their proper home. We don't have time to manage posts that way especially during a slam. If you don't see a thread to discuss a particular topic, you could always create one like GSM created this Mixed thread.
I recall you saying it was also so you didn't have to read through a million & 1 pgs. of heated arguments consisting of name-calling & being offensive towards others or general chit-chat to get to what you wanted to see & I can understand that point. Not everyone has the time to read reams & reams of writing so often skim-read to get to the points they want to read. (See I do listen to what you have to say.) I've got ideas. (I know I'm 1 of the culprits who write a pile of irrelevant junk & makes it fit by finding subtle word connections or waiting until things come off-topic & make them go further off-topic or take it an out of context for the fun of it. I'm very sorry.) My ideas are
1: Couldn't we create a heated argument section & keep the tennis section merely for the chat about the matches in question & tennis?
2: We used to have a general chit-chat section. Can't we start using that for general chit-chat again?
3. Like you said, there has been a thread created for mixed doubles so why can't people create threads for men's & women's instead of moaning & expecting other people to do it?

They lost. 6-2 in the third.
That's a shame. Oh well! You can't always get the results you want or bookmakers would go down because everyone would know the winner before-hand & place bets to win big.

I was dreaming of them winning the title, and Serena also winning the singles. “Dreaming” being the key word. This loss will hopefully help her win No. 24.
Me too for the 1st part of your 1st sentence but I disagreed with the 2nd part of that sentence as I wanted a British win. My hopes of a British win this year were dashed yesterday. I've noticed. Brits win when I'm not in. I go to Blackpool. They win. I sleep-over at my Sister's & have a movie night. They win. I jinxed the Brits by staying in. Lol. She will definitely win again. She's too good not to.

1. We tried that once before and posts still end up in the wrong thread.
2. You can use it for general chit-chat, I'm just not sure how many people will follow along and post there
3. You're right, people can create all kinds of threads, but they don't. They want someone else to do it like these things just happen by osmosis.

1. O.K. I'm very sorry. I didn't know.
2. They used to do & novelty wore off from what I've seen so I guess things would go back to square 1.
3. I get your point. People just like complaining & are creatures of habit so the ideas would only work for a while before going back to square 1. I'm very sorry for bothering you. I was only trying to help. :0)
