But they are still on the schedule, only "to be arranged," which I take to mean court. Serena hasn't totally bailed on the pairing, has she?

If she's already committed to skipping the christening, she may as well play a doubles match, IMO. Lol.

She and Andy are still on today’s schedule, so it appears it’s going to happen, unless there’s a last minute withdrawal.

Gauff playing mixed with the 20-year-old Brit Jay Clarke. They dropped the first set to Lindstedt/Ostapenko.

SerAndy about to walk on centre court!

SerAndy with an early break leading 4-2 over A.Mies/A.Guarachi

SerAndy win the 1st set 64......Serena slipped on the grass near the net, tried to get out of the way as Andy was returning and slipped again:) she is okay, but the look on her face was sheer panic.lol!

SerAndy win their first mixed doubles 64 61.

………….although does not belong here, let me mention that Andy and Herbert lost in the second round of Men's doubles. So, Andy can concentrate now on mixed doubles exclusively.

Crowd is lovin' this Andy/Serena doubles. Stadium is packed again. On another court the are Kubot/Melo-Mahut/Vaseline. Doubles are best at Wimbledon with bo5 format and even these mixed doubles with such stars made it really interesting.

All in all doubles are often underrated, but once you get into it one can enjoy it way more than some boring singles matches.

This isn't mixed doubles, but ladies doubles, but I did not know, because naturally I don't pay attention to doubles, but I did not realize that Strycova was up to #3 in the world in doubles. Makes much more sense that she makes the quarters here then. Loves the grass. Feeling more confident, largely because of doubles, and got a nice opening in the draw.

Not having somewhere to post about this is maybe a reason not to lock the main Wimbledon discussion thread. I can see it on the men's side, though the same issue where if you wanted to talk doubles right now there is nowhere to do it. But the thread over there well over 60 pages. Here it was locked under 20. I get that we're into the quarters. But it wouldn't hurt to leave that one open.

Granted. This is probably the last I or anyone will have to say about doubles. So.... yeah.

They’re playing right now, but of course ESPN is showing the men’s SFs.

However, I’m following the score online, and I swear you can tell which one is serving by the scoreline. Down 15-30 or 30-40 — gotta be Murray. :lol6:

There's a specific reason why we lock the main thread at a certain point. If we leave the main thread open, we would be moving posts left and right to their proper home. We don't have time to manage posts that way especially during a slam. If you don't see a thread to discuss a particular topic, you could always create one like GSM created this Mixed thread.

I mean. I get it. Sort of. I guess there's a reason you're a moderator and I'm not. If people can't manage to post their stuff in the right thread, too bad for them. I wouldn't waste my time with moving them.

But I'm never gonna be a person that creates threads. I just don't care that much. I'd much rather just complain.:D
