I’m sorry the weather has presented so many problems for you this year, but at least you saw some tennis live and hopefully next year will be better.

I do think that the best candidate for next new big title winner is Jannik Sinner. That said, not sure he can get past the steamroller that is Alcaraz. If the kid wins this tournament, I think we can officially declare the beginning of the Alcaraz Era - he seems to be in that zone of "I can beat anyone," which we haven't really seen recently outside of the Big Three and, for moments, with Andy Murray (in late 2016) and Stan sorta.

What I think he needs to do to solidify his reign is beat Rafa at Roland Garros and Novak at a Slam, whether RG or USO (unlikely at Wimbledon). I know he's beaten both (at Madrid last year) but not on Slams.

Sinner is going to have to defend the short pickleball court to defeat Señor Carlitos

^^ yeah, one of the TC commies picked Sinner tonight. I think it will be a close match, maybe even 3 sets this time, but I don't see Jannik being able to stop this Spanish freight train.

I miss the first break of serve, but what is Sinner doing right?

His first serve percentage is out of the world. I think he’s only hit 2 or 3 second serves. They’re well placed too.

Alcaraz is serving around 50-60%

Big hold there from Alcaraz. I'm not counting this set lost yet.
