Guess who's the champion, going for five out of six, and a sixth title overall? A sixth title in Miami would pull Novak level there with Andre Agassi (1990, 1995, 1996, 2001-2003). And if Novak wins in IW, then he'll be trying for an astonishing 4th double of IW-Miami, including three in a row. Next best in this regard is Federer with two.

In last years final, Novak beat Andy Murray, 7-6, 4-6, 6-0.

The tournament begins next Wednesday.

Let's talk. :popcorn

I don't care who wins really but Novak winning would be impressive as per above. Best thing about this tournament is Federer is back. Even for non fans, they'd have to admit he makes things more interested. Someone might actually be able to challenge Novak now :p

Youngsters Elias Ymer and Andrey Rublev received wildcards into the main draw. I believe it is their first appearances in the main draw of a Masters.

EDIT: Actually, Rublev made it to the 2R last year of the Miami Masters, after defeating Pablo Carreno Busta in the 1R.

I hope Tommy Haas is back playing. His 2nd daughter was born in November 2015 but he's had enough time changing nappies now. He'll be 38 (!) in a few weeks. Time to start playing again before it's too late.

I'm going to keep this bit in my back pocket. I'm sure I'll need it later, when substituting one word. ;)

I'm glad he is back too as along with Nadal he's probably my favorite player all time! However, i'm hoping he isn't coming back too soon. It would suck to get injured again! It's amazing that he has been doing this well at his age though, always astonishing.

Looking forward to seeing how the younger gents fare here.

Question marks about the big four
- Is Fed coming back too soon?
- How much can Rafa build upon what he did this past week.
- Will Andy's form improve? He was not focused at IW
- Does Nole have any hiccups in the draw?

Andy Murray never did that well at IW. He does not like how the balls are flying and it is hard to control them.
In complete contrast, he always did a lot better in Miami. It is not so much his form, rather the conditions of these 2 events. It was same with Agassi. he shined in Miami, he did not well in IW.

Some tough scheduling for two players who won yesterday events on the Challenger Tour:
Harcel Granollers played and won the final in Irving, today he plays in the Q1 in Miami,
Malek Jaziri does the same, he won an event in Guadalajara, today he plays in Q1.

Federer said he is keeping a close eye on Rublev. I am curious to see him play.

The draw is out. Djoke gets Fed. Andy, Nadal, and Wawrinka in the same half. Nadal has the toughest path, in my opinion.

He has to help himself, but it's all a good test. If he makes the quarters, anything can happen...

Anybody notice Brian Baker is in the draw? I had no idea he planned to return!
