Kei appears so calm and in control. I think he is a bit nervous but doesn't show it. He is also very quick so those drop shots are not going to work against him.

That was an awful dropshot though - no disguise and clearing the net by about 20 metres.

Nick needs to work on his backhand return, he is missing some easy ones.

Also he needs to learn how to control his power.

Kei is bullying him in some of these exchanges.

Nick escapes 1 match point. A great point from Kei and he has 2nd match point.

Too bad it's over so soon, they were just starting to play so well. Congratulations to Kei.

Nick gave it a go in the second set. Well done to him also.

What a point to finish that off! Great play from Kei, really reading Nick's play. When is Kyrgios going to get a coach, do we think? Much needed, I'd say.

Kei was really in a zone. Great match from him. I agree Moxie, Nick could use some coaching help.

Becker would be a good choice no?

or hire Cahill, he knows how to turn talent into substance

After snowing here yesterday and feeling like winter is back, I hope the weather in Miami will co-operate and it won't be too hot and too humid so that we can enjoy some good tennis.

Today seems to be the 'coolest' day of these last two weeks, it's sunny but not so hot and humed, the maxim temperature is going to be 79 degrees which is perfect, the best day for to play the final :)

If Novak wins today, and it looks like he will, he'll pass Rafa at record most MS1000s, which Rafa held for some number of years. He'll also pass Roger in career prize money. Poor Kei, though. He's not having a very clean day.

Kei looks like a different player from his semi final match. Something is wrong with him, he can't move now?

Got the trainer working on his knee. You're right, though, Billie. And of course it's in part the opponent, but his serve was great yesterday, and not nearly so many UFEs.

Wow 2 double faults to give Nole a match point. But he saves it. Kei's been tight from the beginning of the match. Nerves are something that will cripple the best of them.
