There's a clutch serve from PCB.

It was actually 4 slam finals. Roddick's main problem was timing as he faced Roger in 4 slam finals, 3 semis, and 1 QF before 2010. Tsonga and Berdy scored the big wins over Roger in 2010 - 2013 after a large drop in play.

Yeah, runner up in 3 and won 1 afaik.

QUOTE="Moxie, post: 332608, member: 17"]BTW, Carol says she's at the matches today. She'll be yelling "Vamos, Pablo!"

Another reason to hate PCB :lightning:[/QUOTE]
That IS funny, but you seriously can only care enough about PCB to actively hate him because he's Spanish, then.

Carreño Busta pulls it out. This is a big win for him. Had never beaten Anderson, and he'd also lost some matches that he choked on in the last 8 months. Tough loss for Anderson, but he was being out-played and could have lost in straights.

He lost 3 Wimbledon finals to Roger and the 2006 USO final.
That 2009 final v. Roger was a heart-breaker. I think it did him in. I would think even Federer fans must have felt for him, a bit.

Ah cheers. Lazy research by me admittedly. Clearly Federer ruined his career in terms of slams but Roddick was light years better than Tsonga or Berdych.

Yeah, if ever there was a match where both guys should have had half the trophy each, it was that one.

Some of us did, I rarely feel bad for anyone though. Better they swallow an "L" than Roger.

Yeah there's no question there. Without Roger I think Andy would've had a similar career to the other Andy.
