WTF??? Dick Enberg is back??? I thought that senile relic retired!

This is CBS's last year covering the US Open, so they dragged him out of retirement for nostalgic purposes.

It'd be nice to see someone under 40 doing some commenting. It might start to erase the impression of tennis being a sport for old fogies.

Thank God that CBS is gone, and ESPN will be covering the whole thing.

Wait guys. CBS has not yet screwed up this year.

They are waiting for Semifinals so that they can show something else and then
telecast it with 4 hour time delay or something like that.

How about CBS putting up a graphic of Florian Mayer when it was L.Mayer playing lol...

Not big on Gimelstob, at all, but Koenig is King and Lester is very good too.

Hmmm..a personality issue? Because technically he is superb..with very little chatty nonsense.

Gimelstob is terrible.

Disagree completely. His knowledge base is incredible.

It's been a bit "meh" so far, I agree. The lack of Rafa has damaged the draw, clearly, and there hasn't been much to get excited about in the early rounds, but now we have a Djokovic-Murray QF to look forward to and some good R4 ties, should be an interesting second week.

Not sure why everyone's so down on the tournament. I think it's been good. Yes sure, Rafa's missing, but it's just an opportunity to open our eyes to the young talents out there. I've enjoyed watching the usual suspects and newer guys like Dimi, Thiem etc...

I've enjoyed a lot of the tennis too.

Best of all I like the machinations of the Feddies figuring out everyone who has to lose for Roger to have a chance. :snigger.

A USO is not complete without a night match going beyond 2 a.m. and we got one.
Order restored.
