It's a new complex so it's not completed yet, that's why there are no photos of it. I remember reading about it months ago. It was a surprise to me that you didn't know it till yesterday, but you have the official confirmation now.:clap

Maybe they changed the points distribution for 2016? Another question for ITF.:D

Crikey Billie, that's a fairly lame and rude attempt at sarcasm. You think there was something wrong with Tented asking the ITF for info about one of their own events?

If you knew so much, why didn't you let us all know earlier? :cover

WOW....it wasn't sarcasm at all, but I fail to see why it warranted your snobby reply 3 days later....I was just really surprised that it was such a big mystery. Why would be anything wrong with him asking ITF about it?:cover

The first time I ever saw this thread was that same day when I posted my first reply. Since I read about it months ago, I tried to find my original article but came up with others within minutes of searching. That's all. I work and don't have time for internet for the most part of the day unlike others.

Gee.....whenever I can, I provide links for tennis "news" I find. Is that not true? If I don't know something, I ask. What is the big deal?:puzzled

I read about some possible changes for the Rio tournament, like 3rd set tiebreaker or no play for the bronze medal therefore both players who lose semi finals will be getting one of those. I don't know if that is official yet or not, but I read about ITF thinking about it.

Talk about over reaction:eyepop

I only read your reply yesterday, and if your reply wasn't an example of ungenerous sarcasm then...sorry, but it was. You were being narky. Happens to us all. Own it. ;)

^ Yes, but they also released this image of what it would look like, and that's not a hard court:

Just because there's not much tennis news around, this image is a cartoon of the Maracanã stadium as seen from the inside, with a tennis court inside it. As 99,99% of the tennis courts in Brazil are clay, the guy who drawed probably tought that all tennis courts are like this.

And be nice to my countryman Guga. We grew up playing in the same courts (but I never played him, I'm a few years older. Lucky boy...)

Sure, that's understandable. In fact, it's clear that's exactly what happened since we now know it will not be clay. If anyone messed up, it's the guy who hired the artist, and neglected to provide the necessary information.

I didn't mean any disrespect towards Guga. I would have said the same about any player, since, like the artist above, he would also have been working with information provided to him.
