Madison Keys
Coco Gauff
Well Coco has a 'golden opportunity' now the other seeds of the bottom half of the draw have lost, I was impressed how she played in her first match in Rome, she needs to perform like this for the rest of the tournament.

She doesn't have to punish herself because Its not RG.She is practicing in Rome to play well in Paris. She has to play within herself..

I never said she has to punish herself, I said it was a good opportunity, seeing her results thus far, have been sub par, going out earlier in the clay tournaments this year, which has nothing to do with Roland Garros in 2023
I am really sick and tired of trying to have consructive comments of Gauff and her play in this forum quite frankly Tossip? she hasnt been performing well at all? apparently you prefer to turn a blind eye.
Players having good results in Rome to me has always been a good indication of their performance in Roland Garros!

Karolina Muchova with a solid win 76(4) 62 over Camila Giorgi, a player this has a good overall variety in her game 76(4) 62
M.Vondrousova takes out the No 9 seed Maria Sakkari in SS 74 63 well done!

There is this picture of Potapova making what looks like a weird salute.I hope it's not what I think it is.

Madison vs Vika .. should I bother @MargaretMcAleer ..I'm nursing an knee injury this weekend and Dubs just got washed out of the playoffs. Think I may just go to church and pray for a good work week. Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there and their families. God Bless

She has been vocal with who she supports and that gesture is chilling.

Their first meeting on clay, though Bouzkova did hold a H2H 1-0 over Gauff,
Bouzkova (27) d Gauff (6) 46 62 62.
Anyone who watched the match, will see what Coco has to do to improve her game, on her current form she will not be defending her finalist points in RG.

She looks tired because of the doubles.I hope they rethink their doubles schedule.Pegula also looked flat in her match with Townsend.

I said at the start of this tournament that I thought Coco and Jess should not be playing doubles, they also looked flat in their doubles finals match against Azarenka and Haddad Maia, a match they lost., in Madrid
I will be interested to see if they play doubles at RG, quite frankly at this stage of their careers they both have to decide to concentrate on their singles career and just play the odd doubles tournament as a tune up.
