Just a quick final summary after Elena Rybakina's win in Rome before we head to Paris which begins in 1 week.
Rybakina leads the tour in WTA1000 wins this season, adding Rome to her Indian Wells win. On Monday, she will make her Top 5 debut, at No 4 seeding at Roland Garros which begins in 1 week. It means that Rybakina will not face either Iga Swiatek No 1 or Aryna Sabalenka No 2, before the semi finals at Roland Garros.
NOTE: I have posted the WTA Top Ten rankings, Monday 22nd May, on the WTA News and Gossip,
If Iga Swiatek loses before the SFs at Roland Garros, Sabalenka will be the new No 1, no matter what she does.
