What are we even talking about? Did Kei say he's injured again? Are you complaining because he was injured last week and now just beat Ferrer? Let's be honest...a lot of people have beaten Ferrer this year. I'm not happy about it, either, but Ferrer's game has fallen way off. (BTW, I was thinking that he fits @El Dude's theory that players with a more physical style decline more steeply.)
LOL. Actually, I don't see what he has against Ferrer. I know he doesn't like his style of tennis, but I'd think anyone could admire his work ethic, his heart and his having made the most out of his game. Top 10 for 7 years, as high as #3. And yesterday had his 700th win on the tour. Nice career.

El Dude isn't a Rafa fan, and he didn't say anything bad about Rafa in that post. Give him a break...it's an interesting question, which I will respond to. Carreño Busta is pretty much all there is, and he's nearly 26. There are only 2 players amongst the top Spanish 10 under age 29, and "only" 8 Spaniards in the top 100. (Compare that to the usual 14-16 between around 2008-2011 or 12. At one point there were 10 Spanish players in the top 50, if memory serves.) I've found a couple of 20-year-olds in the 200s, and a 19-year old at #325, but the only name I recognize is Jaume Munar, and I have no idea how good he might be. The days of this Golden Age of Spanish tennis are waning, and it looks like the Spanish tennis federation has good its work cut out to rebuild.
Hi Moxie..El dude stated a few weeks ago that Rafa is his 2nd player to watch..besides he is a big boy.. he knows where i am coming from.
I've also seen him say that he roots for Roger first, and then someone new to win a tournament. He didn't say anything bad about Rafa in that particular quote. And if he says he enjoys watching Rafa, good for him, esp. as a Fed fan, because it means he loves great tennis, despite his loyalties. It doesn't mean he loves him or roots for him, just because he likes to watch him play.
That's your opinion, however closed-minded and vindictive. Personally, I can't think of a significant player that doesn't have something I appreciate, however much I may not care for them or their game. I certainly don't drool over the end of their careers. But that's me, and a deep hatred of certain players is what makes you Darth. :vampire:
