Federer now has an IPTL trophy which Rafa does not have. :snigger:laydownlaughing:cool:

So Rafa fans, until Rafa gets his own IPTL trophy, don't even bother mentioning H2H or 9 RG titles etc.

Here is a link to half an hour long interview/entertainment show held in India on satruday evening
after the IPTL matches. Unfortunately, instead of just keeping it as an interview with just Rog and
Pete, they also threw in an iconic Indian actor Amitab Bachan on stage.

http://www.ndtv.com/video/player/india-questions/india-questions-roger-federer-pete-sampras/349875

There is really nothing new or interesting in the interview. Here are the three main points
that I heard for the first time.

1. When asked what was the best match that he played , Rog mentioned the match against Pete
in Wimbledon.

2. When asked about the match that he most regrets, he mentioned the 2008 Wimbledon Final.

3. Rog said that he would like to retire like Pete after winning a GS and while at the top.

p.s. At the end of the interview, you can see Rog dancing in Indian style.

Thanks for that, GSM!

From a link on the page, here's a partial transcript.

Roger Federer: For me, Pete is the greatest. He is my hero. Stefan Edbergh, Boris and Pete. He was my inspiration. Without Pete, I wouldn't have tried to chase his record. For me, he is the greatest ever

Pete Sampras: If you look at the numbers, Roger has been so dominant over the years, it's hard to compare anyone to Roger. We're both very nice and very humble!

Pete's droll! :laydownlaughing :clap

Interesting analysis of things, and great to see these two greats on stage together...

It looks like the real amount that Roger got for playing six sets in two matches spread over
two days is neither 4 million dollars nor just a million dollars. It is 2.4 million dollars. Now that
the circus is over, the real figures are coming out in open. I forgot to copy the link from where
I got the info though.

Do you know why Fed played in IPTL? He probably "needed" the dough to furnish his 11.6
million dollar new lakeside home where he allegedly moved in 2014 Dec.

The Swiss are good with money. Roger doesn't need a back-up reason for trousering easy cash...
