Seems that Caroline got away with a scare. She's in Denmark right now taking care of sponser arrangements today and tomorrow. Here is a picture from twitter from Bornholm "the sunny island":

Coach Calls Azarenka’s Injury ‘Nothing Too Serious’
By CHRISTOPHER CLAREY 2nd of July

WIMBLEDON, England — Victoria Azarenka, the world’s second-ranked women’s player, has “no structural damage” after her painful slip at Wimbledon last week, according to her coach Sam Sumyk.

Azarenka shrieked in pain and then sobbed on court after she slipped early in her first-round match at the All England Club against Maria Joao Koehler.

Although she was treated on court and had her right knee wrapped, she managed to win 6-1, 6-2 but then withdrew from Wimbledon before her second-round match against Flavia Pennetta.

It is unclear when Azarenka will return to the circuit. Sumyk said in an e-mail message on Tuesday that Azarenka had fluid and “a strain” in both her right knee and hip.

“Nothing too serious,” Sumyk said. “Hopefully 10 days of complete rest will do.”

Wozniacki again free of injuries

By THOMAS IDSKOV, idskov@sporten.dk
12 July 2013, 11:41

Caroline Wozniacki has been free from the injury she suffered at Wimbledon. The worries whether the Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki is ready for the August hardcourt tournaments in the United States, can be put aside

- The injury she suffered at Wimbledon (v Petra Cetkovska, ed.) Has fortunately proved not to be serious. There was 'only' a pulled Achilles tendon. Therefore, she can train again from next week, says her Danish consultant Mikkel Nissen.

If it goes according to plan, Caroline Wozniacki will be back on the WTA tour when Rogers Cup is played in Canadian Toronto from 5 August.

Caroline Wozniacki is busy in late summer. Before the season's last Grand Slam tournament, the U.S. Open, starting in late August, she makes up at tournaments in Toronto, Cincinnati and New Haven.

Caroline Wozniacki has this week participated in a series of sponsor events in Denmark. Preparations for the tennis season's second half takes place in Monaco, where she has permanent residence.

Well nice to hear this:clap The next big wish is that she gets Thomas Hoegstedt as coach.

Yes cute dog. Next news is that Yonex drops Caroline as sponsor - or as I sayCaroline drops Yonex. It must be a good thing that she can return to a racket she was using when she climbed to the top. Only one wish more to come through - Thomas as coach - then she'll be on the right track again:clap:)

Unfortunately, she won't be the first or last to compromise themselves on changing racquets for an endorsement deal. I hope she can return to her best.

This is Wozniacki's new coach google translate version from Danish, but you get an idea:

TV2.DK learns that Caroline Wozniacki has signed an agreement with the Swedish top manager Thomas Högstedt.

The 49-year-old Swede is among the most coveted coaches on the WTA Tour. He has just completed a 3-year successful cooperation with Russian Maria Sharapova and has also previously headed the Chinaman Li Na. Actually, Wozniacki announced that the potential subjects were not available before next season, but that changed after Wimbledon, where Sharapova announced that cooperation with Thomas Högstedt was over.

-Thomas (Høgstedt Ed.) Is already in the process of preparing cooperation. There are many things to be mastered for the new team can get optimum start. So while Caroline concentrate on getting ready for the injury (sustained during Wimbledon ed.) Tries Thomas preparing run-up to the U.S. Open, "said TV2.DK 's source who requested anonymity because the source is part of the international tennismiljøs inner circle .

Høgstedt is not an unknown person for Caroline and Piotr Wozniacki. Thus, the Swedish / Danish duo worked briefly together years ago, a collaboration which has now resumed on a more permanent basis. As tv2.dk learns it, enter Wozniacki back, leaving full responsibility for the new head coach.

Caroline Wozniacki has previously stated that a prospective coach must be able to understand that the Dane will also have a life outside tennis court as a future coach should not interfere in. And here fits Thomas Högstedt perfect. He is known as someone with great insight in tennis, but also as a man who does not interfere in other into what's happening on the field, in other words professional to his fingertips.

Thomas Högstedt is Caroline Wozniacki's third coach in the last three seasons. At the beginning of 2012 was Richardo Sanchez employed, while Thomas Johansson was attached in a few months in the summer of 2012.

My theory is that Wozy was always overrated.. There have been times in the game with the Williams sisters, Henin, Clisters and Sharapova was on a bit of a mental sabbaticals or injuries when they weren't at the top of their games. Players like Safina, JJ, Ana I and Wozy rose to the top of the female game. Ana I. was the one player who actually was able to secure a Slam during these periods but when order was restored, she feel back to her natural level. Wozy wasn't as fortunate to capitalized which is too bad because she does play hard at times with the talent that she has.

Sorry I jumped on the rumour mill, but normally it's true what TV2 is issueing. I still think there's something about it, as they refer to an anonymous source. If it was a gossip media - I wouldn't have given it a thought. I think they are negotiating and as long as they are nobody is saying anything - have a look at her own comments:

Caroline Wozniacki @CaroWozniacki 7t

Funny how busy the media is to find me a new coach! How about stop making stories and assumptions, ill let you know if anything newhappens

Well something is going on, and to me Thomas Hoegstedt would be a perfect choice as they know eachother from earlier on. The only thing missing is something about salary 2½ or 3 million dollars and how his claimed family connections and whereabouts can be incorporated. Ok we'll see, but sorry again I was too quick :)

Just read that Bartoli has a hamstring injury which led to her withdrawing from Stanford.

It must have felt weird for Safina, Jankovic and Wozniacki to have been former #1s but be the ones without any slams.

It has only happened in this era?

Loved current #1, Serena Williams', speech.

Three weeks in a row is too much for Vika returning from an injury.

That's a shame, after such an incredible run at Wimbledon. I hope it's not too serious, and we'll see her again soon.

Marion has a hangover. I don't think it's serious at all. :D

Caroline seems to be fresh again - according to her Facebook comment:

Caroline Wozniacki
So excited to be going back to Toronto for The Rogers Cup next week! I have a lot of great memories from playing in Canada and the fans are always great! Can't wait to get back on the court

Hope we'll see a concentrated Caroline slamming them all. :)

Sorry to hear that Maria Sharapova still is fighting with her injuries and has withdrawn from Toronto - hoipe you get back when you're healthy and sound.
