So long as Novak doesn't lose two sets, who cares.

I've been between this feeling and seriously worried since the Wawrinka match. Something seems off, let's hope everything will be fine at the end of may.

Nole breaks.

Hi Denis!

3-0... seems Novak's taken his head out of his backside.

:D Let's hope he takes it out of Becker's too. ;)

So much can change from match to match. Nadal was muck against Andujar and still won in Rio so for this reason, while dropping sets against players you normally wouldn't is annoying, it's not exactly a crisis either. Murray's been doing his usual lose first set and win match routine all week as well and he's still here also so I wouldn't read too much into it. The lack of intensity is Novak's biggest issue imo.

Maybe it would be better if Nole lost here and early in Miami, so he can be rested for the clay season ;)

Fully agree.

Also agree on Murray. Abismal performances more often than not outside the slams, but still won more slams in the last two years.

Didn't even watch any of Djokovic's match (watching Dimitrov v Gulbis here). Is it Maximo Gonzalez he's playing? Only surname is listed on streams. Strange to lose a set to him and agree, not good :(

Not Maximo, he plays Alejandro Gonzalez. He was 0-5 on ATP Tour coming in this event.
He just found his footing in this event, beating Mannarino and Dodig. It is already a big achievement for him to be in R3.

For a challenger player, this Gonzales dude has quite an entourage.

Well it looks like Novak is doing everyone a favour and finishing it rather quickly now.

I have been watching Ernie vs. Dimi. Glad Novak is pulling it together.

Never even heard of him in that case! Those are 2 pretty good wins for him before today so though so good for him.

I do, because with such a play, Cilic will give him an expedited ticket to Miami

Ernie says he stop drinking and smoking because he got tired of seeing guys who couldn't play in the top 100. LMAO :laydownlaughing
