I do think the chair could have told off the crowd more. But they were very pro-Roger, and cheering in between JMDP's 1st and 2nd serves, which Gilbert and P-Mac said was terrible.
You darn right..the chair umpire was a real real Wus..very GOP like dealin* with Trump

Only notable wins for DP come against Roger, ugh
don't forget he made Novak cry in one Olympics and beat him in another. He's utterly big time and really should have more big titles. If he ends the year as number one, I for one won't complain. He should be number 1 at some point. It would be tragic if he isn't. As far as I'm concerned he is by far the best player not to have it

Anyway, from where I stepped in, it was a helluva match.

That was some tough sh** to take.... but got to keep it in perspective..we lived with these choke jobs for several years. That Roger couldn't have just disappeared . The pressure of being #1 is a m*%&$r f%*$#r..

Do you think he can defeat Roger’s best surface..the lawns at SW19
he's one of the few people who can in theory, but I think those backhand slices of Roger would be just too much of a hurdle for him

Good for you. If sports injuries could actually qualify as tragic (which they don't) JMDP would be the poster child. In a parallel universe, there would have been a lot more wins like these, including in Majors, and I don't just mean over Roger or Novak.

Agree.plus I don’t think Delpo’s movement is too true on grass.. Djoker should be back at full strength by then ..

Still, depends on how he's playing and how Roger is. Del Po may be looking for the lost years, and, let's face it, like here, Roger isn't going to wake up every day as TMF at 36.

Del Potro is a heck of a player. One can only imagine what he could have been without injuries. He is probably the only player that can wipe the floor with Roger, Rafa and Djokovic.

By Wimbledon? I'm not convinced of that.
one of the mysteries on this forum is this belief in a Novak come back. He's never done it before. I'm not saying he can't come back, but he has to prove it. So far he's been limp. Just because Roger and Rafa do it doesn't mean it's easy

Amazing comeback from Delpo.

This guy would've won many slams in the 2010-2017 if not for his injuries.

Still a bit salty that Fed couldn't close it out at 4-6,7-6,5-4,(40-15):nono:

Both of JMDPs big titles against Fed

I give him props for even trying. He has said that he didn't know what level he'd be able to come back to. But he was willing to put in the work and try. He's starting to figure out how to manage his BH, which is critical. And the 2-hander is really starting to have some sting. He knows when to employ it, too. Despite how much it stings for Fed fans, I'm sure a lot of people are happy for delPo today.
