Fed has trouble reading some of the serves of Delbo. In the last game, Fed took a swing at return and completely missed the ball. You would think only club level players would do such a thing. Anyway, at least Fed got up to deuce three times in that game.

I saw him practice live yesterday against Sock and let me tell you that it seems to me it is all on his head. Jack was hitting the ball hard and was more engaged during practice more-so than Djokovic. He seems "scared" to hit the ball and whenever he hits the ball hard, it goes to the net more often than not. He might need a sports psychologist to sort this thing out...
Thanks for that report from the ground, @rafanoy1992. Useful intel. Based on that, I would have thought he wasn't trusting his arm yet, but he's been playing like this for so long now. I thought Pepe Imaz was supposed to be like a sports psychologist for him, but maybe now he needs the real thing. Anyway, sounds like he's skipping Miami.

Another love hold for Fed takes the score to 5-5. Now, endgame is near.

Roger has done that before v. Rafa. Maybe it's the lefty factor.

That ball toss is ridiculous! Who allowed him to develop that?

What I "feel' or "see" from him right now is that he seems "content" on what he has right now meaning he does not have to be super serious or super focus every time on the court. Unfortunately, he is probably realizing right now that he is having a hard time regaining that motivation or mental edge that made him dominate the tour.

It shows on the practice courts too...

He says he has missed competing, but he doesn't play like it. He should probably realize he misses "enjoying competing."

Got a little dramatic there at the end, but Roger did it.

GSM Fed. 8-6 in TB.

Fed surely did not play well from the beginning to the end. But, a win is a win. I like it this way. As he will slowly raise his level and peak for the final weekend.
