Venus started so sluggish, and lost the first set to JJ 1-6. But Jankovic, who had 4-1 in the 2nd, managed to let her head get in the way, and Venus started playing much better. Vee won the 2nd set TB, and now is serving for it. She's not serving great, but she's gritting it out. I like Jankovic, but what a head case. And finishes it on her first ace of the match! Queen Vee! Nice. How's this for a scoreline: 1-6, 7-6, 6-1.

I've enjoyed Kayla Day's Cinderella run, and I think she has a great future, but I was glad to see Muguruza pull the win out. For the forseeable future, I'd like Garbiñe to fulfill some more of her potential.

Ditto... I'm waiting on great things from Garbine to come.

I am also patiently waiting to see Garcia forfilling her potential, she has the overall game, but lacks the mental intensity like other French players,I love watching her play.
