I just dont care about this team, the Heat.. I just love it when Dallas beat these bums down a few years ago. Dwade is lowdown player who gets away with dirty plays and whines... the clownish officials totally screwed up this game vs the Bulls.. Just call the game fairly.. let the if the best team win playing by the rules regardless what jersey

Well AP, Bulls got what they came for anyway. They stole HCA by getting one of the 1st two games. I'm trying to remain indifferent about the officiating. My whole argument is why the disparity from game to game? It's not like there's a different interpretation of the rules. All the refs study the same book of rules, take the same test to get certified to be a ref. All games should be pretty consistent.

I saw very little of the game but the Heat took 7 extra free throws and won by 37 points. I'd say chances are there have been a lot more legit grievances over officiating than last night Besides, the refs must have been well respected by you during the MJ years I bet

Da Bulls only chance to get back into this series is to keep their head.. dont get caught up into all the grabass with the Heat players.. they need to just go back and rewatch the March 27th game where they stop the 27 game streak of the Heat.. They will not beat the Heat regardless in this of what may happern unless Dwade is out of the game.

Agreed. Game 2 was inevitable as Miami was desperate and at home and the Bull were bound to be exhausted. When I figured the Bulls would make it a 6 or 7 game series it was with the thought they'd take game 3. And I also figured Deng would be back by now. Game 3 seems to have taken a lot out of them mentally and physically. They've held Lebron to poor games by his standards in games 1 and 3. They need more of that and just really hot outside shooting to have a chance.

It has seemed to me that the officials have been trying to control the physicality between the Bulls and the Heat because of what has occurred in the past. This evening is game 4 and I would be surprised if the referees were to let it get out of hand. They will probably blow the whistles a lot yet again and I can understand what they are trying to do.

I like physical, half-court ball with intricate passing and setting up plays. I have always preferred it to fastbreak basktetball. I guess the setting things up is what grabs me.

Well it appears that the only decent series is San Antonio-Golden State. I expect that to go back to SA for a game 7 but that also depends a decent amount on Curry's health.

I figured Deng would be playing by now but that illness must be very serious. thankfully they ruled out meningitis. The Bulls have the defense to give the Heat a major test but they do not have the offense and with so many injuries fatigue becomes a big factor by the 3rd quarter especially. They needed game 3 but the loss took a lot out of them mentally and physically.

I think the only 3-1 series with a legit chance to turn around is Indy and New York. I see New York taking game 5 and they'd probably win a game 7 if it gets there. However, I don't think they would win game 6 and it probably wouldn't be close similar to games 3 and 4.

Memphis is damn strong. I don't think they'd have beaten the Thunder if they had Westbrook but it would have been a heck of a series. Now I think they might take care of business in game 5 tonight. I do think they will end up representing the West now.

Good to see Wade looking like himself even if it was just the last 5 minutes of the game. I think Indy will be interesting as they are basically a better version of these shorthanded Bulls.

Miami doesn't win game 5 w/o Wade. Have to give props to the depleted Bulls putting in such a good effort in a road closeout game. Without Wade, the lead doesn't evaporate as no one else could buy a bucket. Heat will get more rest as they wait on the ECF, but I think Indy takes it in the next 2 games. They'll look at how Miami and Memphis closed in game 5 and want to do the same.

Funny that no one on this thread is discussing how sorely the Thunder and Durant, yes Durant, missed Westbrook after his injury.

As I said all year, he shoots a ton because the rest of the Thunder players stink. Point proven against Memphis.

I said earlier in the thread that OKC weren't going to represent the West w/o him. Just like the Clips struggled when Blake went down so too did the Thunder, Bulls, etc.

I still dont get this Rudy Gay trade.. but somehow the chemistry is better on the team. There had to be some internal issues with Gay and other Memphis team members. That being said, LH is doing a excellent job coaching this team and have out coach Vinnie and Brooks thus far. The Memphis bigs(Gasol and Zbo) are huge space takers. If they can stay at present pace, they will cause the Heat some matchups issues in the Finals.

If they can stay at present pace, they will cause the Heat some matchups issues in the Finals.

Apparently Randolph and Gay did not like playing with each other. I heard it on ESPN from Mr. Bombastic, Stephen A. Smith.

I don't think Hollins has out-coached anyone in the playoffs. He just has better players top to bottom than most other teams.

Finally, I do agree that Memphis would be a challenge to Miami in the Finals, but I also don't think the possibility of New York beating Indiana and giving Miami a serious run for their money in the ECF should be discounted. NY's players have been sick/injured, and both Melo (bad shoulder) and JR (flu) have really struggled with their shooting numbers.

If everyone on NY gets healthy and Melo and JR start shooting better (with Amare and Copeland adding some scoring punch), then NY can get past Indiana. If they do that, watch out.

I'm pulling for Memphis as well but I also like San Antonio and wouldn't mind at all if they get one last ring for Duncan and Co. But Memphis should cause Miami plenty of trouble just with the big men alone. Then throw in the fact they have tons of talent outside of Randolph and Gasol and they could be a serious threat to go all the way. For Miami the question is whether or not D-Wade can give them 30+ minutes of what he showed at the end of game 5 vs. Chicago. If he can be that good it is hard to see Miami losing 4 games to anyone.

I think New York is going down in game 6 and as I've mentioned before they are no threat at all to beat Miami whether they are healthy or not. Unless someone goes Tonya Harding on Lebron.

Miami and San Antonio are through as expected. We are waiting for one more team to come out, possibly Indiana. All in all, it will be some nice matchups in the conference finals.

All settled now:

Miami-Indiana. I think it will go 6 but I could also see Miami really trying to make a statement and come out strong in which case it could be a 5 game series. Indy is tough, especially at home, so it could turn into a series like last year where Indy had them rattled and it took an amazing performance from Lebron and Wade in game 4 last year to turn the series around. But I doubt it will be tougher than it was last year.

Memphis-San Antonio. This should be an awesome series. Memphis is so strong everywhere and San Antonio even after all these years plays the best team ball out there. The shock to me is just how well Duncan and Parker are playing right now. You still have to wonder if age will catch up to the Spurs the deeper they go in the playoffs. An easy series with LA helped but they just had to chase after the much younger and more athletic Golden State team for 6 games. If they are to win they will need to play great and milk the home court advantage. I think Memphis wins in 6.

No, you more so have to wonder if lack of talent will catch up to the Spurs the deeper they go in the playoffs. They lucked out that Kobe tore his Achilles. As for your age remark, that is a lame excuse. San Antonio's players are unathletic compared to the rest of the players in the NBA and always have been. They have always played a corny old man's game, so now that they are older they are even more in their comfort zone than they were 5 years ago.

If they lose to Memphis, it will be simply because Memphis is a better, more talented basketball team, one that executes just as well as they do but has more talent.

Memphis is so strong everywhere and San Antonio even after all these years plays the best team ball out there.

The only team in professional sports I dislike as much or more than the San Antonio Spurs is the New England Patriots. i cannot stand teams that don't have much talent but win off of robot systems that opposing coaches have far more difficult a time stopping than they should.
