I've just been reading about the Capel Garmon fire-dog & the Llyn Cerrig Bach hoard. I wonder whether @britbox has had a chance to see them & if so what he thought of them.
Aww! That's a shame for you. I will. Thank you very much for the recommendation. I've only been to 1 place in Wales & that was Conwy. I read about Capel Garmon earlier in reference to where it is & that a Late Iron Age firedog was excavated which was in 2 parts, 1 part shaped like a bull & the other shaped out like a horse. Thank you very much for the recommendation. That sounds cool. I love Celtic art as well as history. Not in person, as they were moved to the National Museum after I moved to Australia. If you ever get chance, visit the St Fagans National Museum of Wales, just outside Cardiff. It's huge - much of it outdoors. Capel Garmon is near Conwy in North Wales and also worth a visit, as there is an ancient Celtic burial chamber dating back thousands of years.
Capel Garmon is about half an hour south. Did you go to Conwy Castle? Caernarfon is also a pretty good place to visit in North Wales. Caernarfon Castle was where Charles was invested as Prince of Wales.Aww! That's a shame for you. I will. Thank you very much for the recommendation. I went by train. I went to Conwy Castle. I looked at the beach, went shopping & had 1 of your cream teas. Your cream teas are lovely especially as you're generous enough to put a strawberry on the side. I bought some Welsh shortbread. I'm very sorry I prefer Scottish. Caernarfon Castle sounds nice.
