Doesn't seem as though that doubles team is doing to well at the moment.

I think they started good but it's been a bust since.

Here is a quote:
Hantuchova still had a lot of praise for the former World No.1, despite the tough result on Tuesday.

"I still feel like it's such a huge honor to be by her side," Hantuchova said. "She understands the game like no one else. She still has so much to show the fans and I'm so glad she's back on tour again.

"Our opponents played so well tonight, and they're both such amazing doubles players - you could hear it in their introductions, they've both won so many titles. It was just a tough match-up, really."

"We'll get over it," Hingis added. "Now we'll go to the US Open and then to the Asian tournaments."

its been a blah blah blah...

I haven't seen a point played so I have no idea what's happening! Is Martina "past it" or is Daniela falling down on the job? Anybody?
ithe pairing is not cohesive:nono and Hingis is being broken left and right...

The USO doubles draw is out. Martina Hingis and Daniela Hantuchova will be
playing their 1st round match against number one seeds Sarah Errani and Roberta Vinci.
That should send Hingis back to retirement, I guess. :D

Unless her serve has improved any, I doubt she can make a significant dent in singles.

I have watch Hingis service motion and I see areas for improvement. Also, I think someone needs to get her to alter her service grip like Rafa did prior to the 2010 USO.

That's easy to say, but Melanie and Martina decided a long time ago they were not going to put her in danger of having arm or back problems trying to develop a heavier or more powerful serve! I don't blame them; hense players like Jaeger and Austin hobbling around early in life! She did quite well for herself and has nothing to be embarrassed about maximizing her talent to the last! She's a confirmed HOF'r with more titles than most of the people saying "she needs to do something with that serve!"

I'm sorry, but Austin and Jaeger injuries were not from tinkering with a more powerful serve or possession of a powerful serve. Their bodies had to much tennis on them for such young ages.
If you recall, Hingis to left the game at an early age do to injuries and burn out.

Also, Martina is almost 32, so, tinkering with her serve now is not a bad idea, not like she's a teen.

I disagree.. changing your service motion and grip wouldn't be any different than changing the strings, the string tension or the racket.

I am quite sure that she makes a nice buck to play WTT and her endorsements will come back.

AP. The Swiss Miss has to play the #1 doubs team. No way this elderly partnership is taking out the current #1s.

It's a tall task, going against the top ranked Italians.
