I'm glad that she is coming back to play doubles on the WTA tour. I can't wait to see how she handles some of the doubles specialists that are playing today. Here is an idea that gives me goosebumps: if Venus cannot play because of her issues, would Serena consider playing doubles with Martina? They are both associated with Patrick's academy and based on interviews given by Martina, they seem to have a friendly relationship now. Can u imagine the "Swiss Miss" with the "Queen" of tennis playing doubles together at slams?

I don't know if Serena will play w/ anyone else besides Venus, especially at the slams.

It would make perfect sense for her to play with Hingis as Venus tries to deal with her compromised health conditioning. I always ways felt that a good doubles team requires a great contrast, someone who has great feel at the net and someone who could lower the "boom" when need. IMO

However.. Serena is too much of a Diva these days to allow this type of pairing to materialized.

yeah, i think the thought is nice, but i'd be shocked if she did play with anyone else. if Venus isn't around, i'm sure Serena will gladly concentrate on playing singles.

i hope that they make sure that Hingis is drug free. she has a HX of cheating.

to make matters worse, but to induct her into the HOF just lowers the standards of who are allowed to be inducted now. meaning, if they allow Hingis, they'll allow any drug addict in, murderer or liar.

Hey, sticks and stones.. :snigger..

Her urine sample contained an estimated 42 nanograms per millilitre of benzoylecgonine,[29] less than half the level required for a positive confirmatory test for cocaine in the workplace under US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration guidelines.[30] The International Tennis Federation's report on the matter mentions that "the very low estimated concentration of benzoylecgonine (42 ng/ml) was such that it would go unreported in many drug testing programmes such as that of the US military, which uses a screening threshold of 150 ng/ml."[29] As the amount was so minute, the likely cause was deemed contamination rather than intentional ingestion

She could have gotten this from a bad "kiss" like RG.
If they let Richard Gasquet, why not Hingis..

It has always baffled me when people make excuses for their favorite drug addict!

had that been one of the WS, or even Vika, you'd never hear the end of it, and you said that she paid the price? :clap riiiiiight sure she's paid the price.

Tell the complete story. She was tested after she came out of the panic room. I guess she did not have time to dump the urine:rolleyes:

Is that true, Colleen? I was under the impression that Serena wasn't tested at all in 2011. Do you have a source which shows that she was actually tested that day? I think she avoided it...

Inform meaning that she can compete ate the current WTA level by winning matches and able to make it to the 2nd week of a grand slam. I am saying making a 2 year commitment to get back to the top line Clisters did which was totally a phenom

I am trying to find the link. I read the article on Tennis.com and the article mentioned that it was unclear if she was tested when she came out of the panic room. Not being tested is a clear anti-doping violation if she refused. I am sure this would have made the papers. BTW around that same time she was being stalked by an individual who was later arrested. As a female I can understand her running to a panic room when someone is outside your door at 6am. Perhaps you were making a joke implying she has taken PEDs, but what is your source for your information?
