I'm phast losing interest in tennis...Because all of my phaves suck! Youzhny will retire (singles) by the end of the year. I can no longer deal with Phabio and his antics. And Soderling ain't ever comin' back (not that he'd even be a phactor iph he did).

No, say it ain't so, Chewy! You've been a champion of the Otherwise Interesting Players. That comes with risk of disappointment. And Soderling is coming back. :s

Is Youzhny really retiring this year?

Soderling coming back? I'll believe it when I see it. I have no idea as to whether or not Youzhny will retire (singles) this year. I have a pheeling that he will, though. I'm aphraid that Phabio maxed-out last year. Anderson is my last hope...and I think he's already maxed-out, too. Still, I love his demeanor.

Ferrer beats Seppi 6-3 3-6 6-3. The only other seed in the quarter finals will be the winner of Kohlschreiber or Simon...

Ferrer (1) vs Andujar
Zverev (W) vs Kamke (W)
Kohli (7) or Simon (12) vs Rosol
L Mayer vs Lajovic

Kohly up next. That is the end of Rosol.

I like Kohly but he's a bit of a letdown much of the time and had ample chances to put Murray away on a surface he feels more at home on than Murray and yet still managed to lose. Obviously Murray's RG record is better but Kohlschreiber certainly looks a lot more at home on clay than Murray ever does/has. I don't think it's a given he'll beat Rosol but we'll see. Might even watch some tennis next few days. Haven't since the Wimbledon final.

Yeah, haven't watched any of his matches but he's ripping the opposition a new one. He's gonna fly up the rankings this week. 500 event so a good few points to play for. Great to see such promising new players.

Ferrer annihilates Andujar (remember Rio). Now, we have a old gun vs. young gun semifinals
as Ferrer plays Zevrev

Kohly shows Rosol his place. 6-4, 6-4.

I think Koly has easy SF and will reach F. This year Kohly's results were not that
impressive. I am glad he is finding form finally.

wow:D alexander zverev (aka "the lightning kid"..copyright me 2014.) :snigger wins in three after a 0-6 first set drubbing..showing much mental fortitude, I didn't see any of this match so i'm guessing the other guy didn't just fall apart in sets 2 and 3.

folk really want to be catching some of the sf action vs daveeeeeeed ferrer on Saturday. don't forget zverev had ZERO WINS on atp main tour until this event and now he has 3 or 4 and is in the sf..tis big news I tell ye.

Kohlschreiber has 4 of his 5 titles in Germany and 7 of his 11 final appearances. He's got a good shot at this one and it would be the biggest one yet for him as all his previous final appearances have been at 250 level, or tournaments that came before they changed the tournament categories which are now 250 events.

I think Ferrer ends Zverev's run today. Mayer will be a tough opponent for Kohli but I think it's a Ferrer Kohlschreiber final on Sunday.

Leonardo Mayer into the final with a straight sets win over Kohlschreiber. Leo is now 3-0 in their H2H with Kohli not taking a set.

Mayer will move into the top 30 for the first time as well and contends his second career final and second 2014 final tomorrow.

Kohly always does this to you. Just when you think he shows promise, he promptly loses.
