But that's exactly what you'd expect, right? Think about how hard Federer fought in the 2011 SF to beat Novak, knowing before he even took court he would face Nadal in the final.
That's what champions do..

I think it is the other way. Stan will benefit from the delay. Any break would help him to come back physically in stronger form than before.
Mentally, he is always there.
Fingers crossed. I hope he comes out in a full swing.

Fed has multiple instances poorly executed drop shots which were good idea in principle.

So Fed makes his first Roland Garros semifinal since 2012. SEVEN years. 3 not played. But still. That's a long layoff. Obviously his longest semifinal drought anywhere. Again. That's partially on him for not playing for 3 years. But you can hardly blame him. I mean, I still don't love that he skipped them. But maybe he wouldn't still be playing if he hadn't skipped the clay for 3 years.

Good win for him. We get the match we all love to see. We probably know the outcome. But, the match has to be played. Hopefully his wins against Nadal of late will give him some confidence and he'll be able to get a set. Or maybe he can push Nadal to 5 for the first time here. With Nadal's form though, it is hard to see him winning it.

We just marvel that Fedal playing so well at this age. Now, here is another twist to it.

1. Ralph reaches SF in Wimbledon last year.
2. Roger reaches SF in Rolland Garros this year.

They produce outstanding performances even in places where you don't expect them. :cheerleader:
