It was both, Zverev was a lot better in the 2nd set yet 6-3 was pretty kind for him there too. He served 74% and barely won over half first serve points, crazy on this surface. That new Fed return was in full force.

Zverev was shanking a lot, making it a bit easy for Roger

I can't believe it. 53 minutes.
Roger was obviously in a hurry. He wasn't taking any prisoners today. Total annihilation.
Congrats, champ!!!

Before I woke up, everything is over. I should have known better and be prepared.

Hope someone posts some highlights here.

Congrats to Roger on "# nun".

I didn't see the match too early here on the west coast..I still don't understand why there was comments regarding the possibility of a loss by Roger to Sasha.

Wow. Roger crushed Zverev today. Flawless performance. Yet another grass masterclass from Roger. Sharp groundstrokes, tactics, serve and return of serve. Everything was razor sharp. And Zverev played poorly.

Roger looks ready for Wimbledon.

I was basing it on what I saw from Fed in the semi. I did think Fed would win but at the start I gave Zverev more than a puncher's chance. The way Fed played he didn't even have that and Sascha didn't do himself Amy favors either.

This was a great performance. Didn't get his serve broken. Zverev only created one BP in the whole match I think. Fed won 93% first serve points won. That stat was crazy. This was probably one of the best recent grass court performances of Roger. More than anyting, Roger looked to be in a very good form. His BH looks really good.

One less guy to worry about in Wimbledon now. That bad loss will do nothing for Zverev's confidence.

Zverev is not at all a contender for Wimbly. At least not against Roger. Only Murray or Rafa (I can't think this way too) can challenge him. And Murray is battling himself tbh. Roger will remain the heavy favourite no matter how Novak plays at Eastbourne. Only if Novak wins Eastbourne, it will make him a challenger.

But, let's just remember Roger is 35 and nothing will be like a foregone conclusion. He took 4.5 years to win his 18th. So, winning a GS is not easy. Roger is the heavy favourite, this is grass and the competition for Roger is uncertain. But, he will still have to do it. So, let's wait for it.

I think the Roger's fans can be relaxed, Zverev has had to go to three sets match by match though he has had tougher opponents than Roger
Just curious - would Agut who I don't believe has ever taken a set off Fed, and Gasquet, who hasn't taken a set off Fed in 6 years, be what you consider "tougher opponents" for Fed?
