^ Pretty surprising but this is not a mandatory tournament and he apparently hasn't listed a reason for withdrawing. So hopefully it's not an injury and rather just some additional rest. Nicko is young but he still has played a decent amount of tennis this year already.

Perhaps a little weird that they're going to do it while he's still playing. The pressure will be on to take his 10th title there. I hadn't thought of this, but I suppose Basel with name their center court for Roger, too.

I think that's a reasonable prediction, and also an interesting insight into Nick and what he needs to play his best. Having Hewitt as his DC captain, a mentor and cheerleader is probably good for Kyrgios.
