I adore Van Gogh's Starry Night over the Rhone.

I'm pretty sure that Mark Rothko's Black on Maroon was defaced last year at London's Tate Modern gallery.

My absolute favourite is Salvador Dali's masterpiece, Christ of St John of the Cross. It hangs in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow. It cost £8,200 when it was purchased in 1952.

It takes my breath away every single time I see it.

I'm glad you like it. Caravaggio is one of my favorites, along with Van Gogh and Matisse.

you cant go wrong with van gogh and matisse. i have not heard of Caravaggio.

i am not an art person but i do like it. i am not that familiar with the various great artists.
