Why is it that no matter how articulate you are you'll always find some people won't understand you or listen to you?
Why is listening to others something some people never do?
Why do some people get angry at the least thing?
I'm sure for some people about these things a bell will ring.
Why do the most articulate people sometimes get flustered?
When this happens it doesn't matter how capable you really are you just can't cut the mustard.

What do you say when things get awkward & you don't know what to say?
What do you say when you get flustered & you just can't find the right words to say?
What do you say when everything goes wrong?
What do you say when you feel like you just have to string along?
What do you say when someone's down?
What do you say when they always wear a frown?
What do you say when you don't know how to show support?
What do you say when all your life is full of danger fraught?
What do you say or do when the worst comes to the worst?
When things happen & people rely on you & you just feel like you want to burst?

The news today always seems so bad.
The news today always seems so sad.
The news today is so depressing.
The news today is so distressing.
Is it any wonder that so many people are depressed?
Is it any wonder that so many people are distressed?
Is it any wonder that some people to be happier no longer watch the news?
Is it any wonder that a lot of people drown their sorrows with booze?

I write here because I can say what I like.
If anyone doesn't like it they can take a hike.
I write here because I can say what I think & feel
In writing I can be myself for real.
Anyone who disagrees can take a running jump.
I don't care if they get the hump.
If people don't have constructive criticism, I'm not taking it.
I'll write how I see fit.
All constructive criticism will be considered though.
You can learn from it & from strength to strength go.

Look for the good as well as the bad.
Try to be happy as well as sad.
When your days are dark & grey.
To be happy & cheerful find a way.
You don't always have to be sad & blue.
There's always something out there for you.
You've got a lot more going on for you than you might think.
Life is too short & may pass you by as fast as a blink.
Carpe Diem means seize the day.
Things won't always go your way.
You've got to keep right on to the end of the road.
You've got to keep plodding with that heavy load.

I hate it when people call others names.
I hate it when people play silly games.
I hate it when people don't tell the truth.
I hate it when I can't stop myself going through the roof.

I'd like to know what all the fighting in the world is for.
I'd like to know why for so long the world has had to deal with war.
I'd like world peace.
I'd like to see it before my days cease.
I'd like to see people get on with each other.
I'd like to see people treat each other like Sister & Brother.

When everything just seems to be going wrong.
When you feel more like crying than singing a song.
When you can't do right for doing wrong.
When the road ahead seems hard & long.
Keep right on!
Carry on!
Don't quit!
Don't give in!
At some point in time you'll win.
Keep chewing at the bit.
You've got to find the life-style you'll fit.
Everyone fits in somewhere.
Somewhere you'll find someone to care.
If you care for others somewhere you'll find someone who cares for you.
Remember this whatever you go through.
Remember this whatever you do.
Maybe your load seems hard to bear.
Maybe you feel like you'll never get there.
In the end you'll get where you want to be.
If you keep on plodding & set yourself free.
If you allow yourself to be who you are.
You will get very far.
Though it takes hard work.
To get where you want to be you must not shirk.
Everyone must do their duty.
Their attitude towards others, what they say & how good they are & how well they do brings out their inner beauty.

I'm retreating here because it's where I belong.
It's where I should have stayed all along.
I'm good at messing around with words.
I'm good at talking about birds.
I know quite a bit about horses as I've got horses on the brain.
I might retreat to talking about horses again.
I think equines are the most beautiful animals on earth.
I've thought that since not long after my birth.
I read a lot of books.
I'm not really 1 who goes for looks.
I like men with nice voices who can have a good conversation with me.
I like people who'll just let me be free.

The best things in life

Some of the best things in life are free.
Things like how beautiful chicks can be.
The sight of animals being wild & free.
New born babies & a little pup.
The ability to make beautiful stories & poems up.
Going somewhere you want to go.
Not having to lay low.
Being able to say what you want, think & feel.
People who are real.
The sound of bird-song in a morning.
The colour of the sky as day is dawning.
The taste of strawberries & bananas is sweet.
They're very good for you to eat.

Why have some people always had to explain themselves to others?
Whether the people they've had to explain themselves to have been friends, work associates, fathers, mothers, sisters or Brothers.
They always feel as though they need to apologise when they've done something wrong, over-analyse their behaviour & how it affects others & try to solve their problems by talking them through privately & calmly in a civilised way.
More often than not they have bad days although occasionally they have a good day.
Why is the news always so bad?
If you keep up with it, it can make you feel so sad.

Dealing with destructive emotions

Sometimes emotions come thick & fast.
When this happens remember they won't last.
Do something that slows you down.
Try wearing a smile instead of a frown.
Before doing or saying something you regret, take a deep breath & try singing a song.
It works even better when you've written your own song or got others to sing along.
It also helps to write in rhyme.
I've loved poetry though for a long time.
Destructive emotions & how to deal with them & emotional intelligence by Daniel Goleman are very good, helpful books.
Remember not everything is as it looks.
Sometimes we see things different from what they are.
We only see what we want to see & won't go far.
When you reach rock bottom, remember the only way is up.
Go & drink tea or latte by the cup.
Relax! Calm down! Things can only get better.
I know you feel like you can't say what you want because certain subjects are taboo & you've got to follow rules to the letter.
We're supposed to have free speech but we only have it to a certain extent.
Stroking a pet makes you feel more content.
You can say what you want without any comeuppances & they seem to know how you feel.
When emotions come at you all at once they can be very difficult to conceal.
Take your refuge in a book.
Find something nice & comforting to cook.

It's a hard life.
Some people have nothing but trouble & strife.
You've got to keep going though no matter what you've gone through.
Unless you write your life story though the subject is taboo.
Some people have always had an easy life & good look.
To stop themselves from crumbling though some people have always had to take their refuge in a book.
It doesn't matter whether you've been bullied all your life & in some workplaces too, people still expect you to smile.
You can also have had to go through seeing people you love suffer from cancer & die after a while.
It's especially bad if you've had to look after others at the same time as for them you've got to stay strong.
1 good way of coping is by singing Bette Midler's the rose, people like your voice & sing along.
It's not nice to have an Aunt die of a stroke.
It's even worse when you're in a café & an old man is having 1 & no one listens to you when you're telling them what to tell the paramedics on the phone & no one believes you. You find out later you were right when you're talking to the old bloke.
It's not nice seeing someone having a fit.
The sight when seen for the 1st time really hits.
There's only so much a person can take.
Society sees you as an idiot though if you break.
It doesn't matter what you're capable of, this idea is wide-spread.
If you aren't happy, no matter what you've been through you're off your head.
Then people wonder why others think they'd be better off dead.
You've got an over-critical father who insults everyone & causes an argument every day.
Then people wonder why you don't want to speak out, laugh, sing & play.
You always have to be wrong & Father always has to be right.
If he isn't he always starts a fight.
The news today is mostly very bad.
Then people wonder why you're sad.
No wonder why this world is full of rage.
It's nice to be someone else for a few hours either by reading a book or being on a stage.
A lot of people judge others too quickly before finding out why they are like they are.
A lot of people are held back by these thoughts, feelings & experiences who could have gone far.
I think people should be a lot more understanding to others.
I think Fathers should be nicer to daughters & Mothers.
There are that many celebrities who people were brought up with dying.
There aren't many news stories today that don't have you crying.
There have been so many people I've known forever who've recently died.
I should be able to weep but there are no tears left after all the tears I've cried.
You've still got to plod on to the end of the road.
You've got to keep going with your heavy load.
All the self-analysis you have to do in self-esteem, confidence-building & assertiveness classes only makes you see your flaws more.
C.B.T. is less helpful than the 3 classes mentioned above & only cover the same content, if not less especially if you did the classes before.
Fluoxetine only makes you worse as it makes you fat.
It doesn't even work when it's circumstances that have made you feel like that.
If you're different no matter what you do, you don't have many friends.
Like I said before, for some people trouble & strife never ends.
Not many people realise that people with the learning style of only having to be told or shown something once or read something once & be able to do it straight away makes them more prone to emotional difficulties as they take everything in before they get a chance to think about things & have difficulty forgetting things.
Not many people realise that creative people are more prone to emotional difficulties either. Famous creative people who suffered from depression are Charlotte Bronte & Charles Dickens.
If you say how you really feel people think you're an attention-seeker or are only out for sympathy which isn't true.
Sometimes you wish people could see inside your head so that they'd realise how their behaviour affects you & they could also see the real you.
In some ways this wouldn't be good though.
All your private information this would show.
Sometimes you wish you couldn't understand anything.
This would ease all the emotional pain & suffering.
I find it helps to express myself in rhyme.
You can say what you really feel any time.
Poets express feelings in most of what they write.
They can do that when talking to others wouldn't be right.

Do you ever have days when you just can't wake up properly although you drink so much coffee?
Do you ever have days when you can't think for toffee?
Do you ever have days when your head's a shed?
Do you ever have days when you wish you'd stayed in bed?
Do you ever have bad days?
Do you ever wish you'd done things different ways?
Do you ever have days when you can't think straight?
These days don't exactly make you feel great.
Do you ever have days when you can learn lots of things but can't express how you think or feel?
Do you ever have days which are the exact opposite which is you can express yourself but can't learn anything? These days make you feel an idiot for real.
You have to remember on days like this that you're just having a bad day.
You have to remember that the day will pass & you'll be yourself again in every way.
You can't beat yourself up just because you've had a bad day.
Calling yourself names isn't a good way.

Autumn

Autumn is a time when all the leaves from deciduous trees go red, yellow, orange & brown.
This makes some people wear a frown.

Then the leaves from deciduous leaves from the trees fall.
At Halloween the children dress as witches, wizards, vampires & ghosts “trick or treat” call.

This is also a time when farmers their harvest reap.
If it's been poor they sometimes weep.

It's also a time when it gets cold & dull.
People start to wear clothes made of wool.

They do this to keep them warm.
We have the occasional storm.

Today, it's international day of peace.
I hope this peace will never cease.
I want an end to war.
I want to know what all these wars are for.
Why do some people think that other people having different opinions & beliefs is a matter of life or death?
Why do some people think that fighting over land, money & belongings is worth drawing the final breath?

Happy national vodka day & World poetry day too!
I hope you enjoy your day all the way through.
It's an excuse to read & write poetry & have a vodka or 2.
I'm having a good day & wish the same to you.

It's good to let your hair down sometimes & have some fun.
It's sometimes nice to take a break & have a cuppa & a bun.
We also have to get things done.
We've also got to finish things we've begun.

I love the elegance of rhyme.
I have done for a long time.

When I'm walking down the street
I greet the people I meet.
Some people stop & say I
Others just walk on by.
Some people are very kind.
Other people are rude, you find.
Some people just laugh at me.
My hair is different to theirs but I should be free to just be.
Sometimes I just get called names & people make snide remarks because I'm unique.
I wouldn't mind, I'm not some kind of freak though I used to be a bit of a geek.

Halloween is a time when children dress up as a witch, wizard, skeleton, vampire or ghost.
What costume they choose depends on what they like most.

They carry a carved pumpkin with a lit candle in.
Come on everybody, fill up your sweet tin.

You'd better stock up on your sweets.
They go round all the streets.

They go round all the houses calling "trick or treat".
They play a trick if they don't get a sweet.

If they don't get a treat they will play a trick.
They play the trick & then they run quick.

Tomorrow @ 11 we will remember those who fought for us in the 1st & 2nd world wars.
I hope you got & will wear your poppy with pride.
The 1st world war should have been the last 1 as they said it was going to be the war to end all wars.
Instead many more wars were fought & more people died.

People shouldn't say things they can't be sure will come true.
Think how some people who fought in the 1st world war & lived to see the 2nd must have felt.
Think of everything they must have gone through.
Think of all the blows they'd been dealt.
