Thank you! People are ready to pass the baton off to this kid who like other players, allow them to extend her unnecessarily thru terrible UFE's! How do people forget when up 5-1 the set was extended taking her to a TB, then needed a 3rd set! Some say she is being protected, but it seems like I'm seeing her every tournament, every week, not only playing singles, but winning in doubles! As I warned, "burnout" is so inevitable IMO over being the next top player! :astonished-face:
I haven't seen anyone on this board or anyone say that she is the next great one or something like that. I think she made a lot of press here in the US because she turned pro so early at 15 and had some nice wins against players ranked in the top 40.

Coco technically is a severely flaw tennis player. There's no need to beat up the youngster about areas of her game that still developing but she does have something that can't be taught and not easily learned... moxie. Coco is great at problem solving and also has true grit..Coco shows the ability to raise the levels of game to compete against the upper tier of the WTA tour..Go back and watch the first set of her match vs Iga S at Roma. Yes, Iga wasn't playing as well as she could but Coco for the first time in a big match, was staying out of her own way. Yes, Iga raised her levels in the 2nd set and was able to defeat young Coco.

The US is thirsty to have the next Serena or Venus Williams. However there's no need to compare her to Jennifer Cap. Jennifer was a great player who got caught up doing the wrong things that shortened her career including injuries.
