You say small, they don't think so w/ the prize $$ they're coughing up to attract the best! Unfortunately they weren't available!
What do you mean by they were not available?

Nadal and Djokovic; either playing other event or taking time off after a big win "down under!" :yesyes:   :ptennis:
The field was not bad at all in Dubai, and it wasn’t bad in Acalpuco either.

Careful there. That's what Djokovic and Nadal fans are going to throw at you. Roger has 8 Basels and 8 Dubais. They are 'mickey-mouse' for many Djokovic and Nadal fans.
Both Djoker and Nadal play these Mickey Mouse events, how are they gonna complain?

Last I checked even as an old man he's whipped Djokovic in Dubai, one of the last courts on tour that actually plays fast. Don't piss in grandpa's cheerios.

Didn't see any of this week but it's encouraging that he got better as it went on. That seemed to be one of the problems last year and even at AO this year. Looking good in the early rounds and then stinking it up out of nowhere.

Also, he didn't gag away the game at 5-4 after it went from 40-0 to facing a couple break points. The Roger of late last year and AO this year loses that game and the match. And finally, it's nice he got some Greek-style revenge today. I always appreciate that :D

LOL! Good for you. I hadn't felt the need to post congratulations to the Fed fans, but since it's you, and if someone else is going to be sour: great achievement by Roger, and he was playing some very nice tennis in the last couple of matches. I was rooting for Tsitsipas, and not in the least as an anti-Roger vote...he's becoming my #2. But I'm happy for Roger and his fans.

Oh, no...back to the secret handshake. Even if Stefanos becomes my #1 when Rafa hangs them up, it won't be for the one-hander, just to be totally clear. #notdrinkingthekoolaid :)

Here is the breakup of the 100 titles into categories, mainly for the benefit of folks who think most of it comes from Mickey Mouse Tourneys. MMT account for just 25% of titles.

Federer Fast Facts

Grand Slam titles: 20

Nitto ATP Finals titles: 6

ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles: 27

ATP World Tour 500 titles: 22

ATP World Tour 250 titles: 25

First 50 titles took only six years to accumulate (2001 to 2007).
But, the second 50 took almost twice that time (2007-2019).

Here are the milestone titles from ATP website.

Title Year City Opponent Score
No. 1 2001 Milan Julien Boutter 6-4, 6-7, 6-4
No. 10 2003 Vienna Carlos Moya 6-3, 6-3, 6-3
No. 25 2005 Dubai Ivan Ljubicic 6-1, 6-7, 6-3
No. 50 2007 Cincinnati James Blake 6-1, 6-4
No. 100 2019 Dubai Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4

I looked it up: Boutter was born in 1974, Tsitsipas in 1998...24 year age span. Just a fun fact. Also, Boutter has been retired for 14 years. (TBH, I never heard of the guy.)
