Bit of an odd stunt by Cruz announcing his Vice President ticket?? Can he still win this thing?
Only with shenanigans at the convention. Maybe he can do a Hillary-esque "re-set" to the GOP nomination in Cleveland! Lol
The irony with Cruz is that he has painted himself as a Washington outsider for years and now he is eagerly aligning himself with establishment figures like Jeb, Mitt, and Lindsay Graham. Cruz is intelligent but he is also a complete sleaze. He is disingenuously trying to make it sound like there is nothing conservative about Donald Trump without quite explaining why Trump has gotten so many votes from the conservative base and absolutely crushed Cruz outside of the South and midwest. It is interesting how Trump is taking hits from all sides. Leftists like Moxie can't stand him for his comments on illegal immigrant felons and Muslims who force women to wear burkas (notice how Moxie repeatedly condemns Saudi Arabia, the purest Islamic nation on earth, but then hates Trump for his sane immigration proposals). And then there is Cruz trying to argue that Trump does not have a conservative bone in his body because he once wrote checks to Hillary and supports some government involvement in healthcare.
This shows just how politically and ideologically divided Euro-Americans are, and that does not even begin to take into account the increasing racial and ethnic divisions in America at large. Tonight I have seen images of Mexican protesters in California holding up signs that say, among other things, "Make America Mexico again." To the Mexicans' credit, they take pride in their own culture and heritage, and for that they deserve to see Mexican territory expand. On the other hand, Euro-Americans, particularly the Democrats, take pride in their cultural illiteracy and studied ignorance of history.
