Delpo is slicing that backhand a little bit more now, it seems. FH looks good, not as fierce as before, but it is his 1st match after all.

Here we go, serving for the match. I like this blue color on Delpo, this is very important to his tennis, I know. ;-):

And Delpo's last point is an ace. Well done big guy. It's nice to see him back on court.:yahoo:

90% of slices... hope it is just lack of confidence.

I only saw the very end of the DelPotro match. Interesting to read the comments. Anyway, he's through for the moment.

Thanks Billie.

Anderson, Tomic and Karlo's demise leaves Grigor Dimitrov as the top seed. Fritz probably experiencing a hangover from Memphis.

Under the radar, Donald Young is having a nice start to the season.

Great to see Delpo back and winning.

yeah well delpotro hit a few 2hbh but it was 90% slice bh, don't see a problem though, he said the matches were part of his rehab, so I thought he looked in decent shape after hardly any matches in 2yrs. :-)2

he next match is against a low rank bloke, clearly winnable, he can raise has world rank up from a forlorn 1]041 to something slightly better.

anyone see dimitrovs match ?..what a mess, what is going on in his head. sort it out sir grigor.

Sir Grigor might be in love and not really into tennis right now, who knows.

So only Delpo needs to book his spot in the quarterfinals, he just started his match vs John-Patrick Smith.

Delpo gets through. Not sure what is wrong with Grigor, but it's not like it's new. I wouldn't attribute it to his love life. I really just don't think the x-factor for competitiveness, that one that makes the difference between talent and winning, is in his DNA.

del potro wins again.

.with the 45 rank pts so far plus 10pts for miami2015..his 55pts give him a world rank of around 590 so far.

Only about 558 points from being seeded at the next Major. ;) Though, I do believe WCs will push him along fast, if he's up to it. Fingers crossed.
