Since when DC is best of 3 though? Did I miss something?

Last I heard Berrettini said he wasn't playing DC. I'm so confused. And credit to where it's due: while I am the OP on this thread, @tented actually did the heavy-lifting on figuring out the new format, posting that part, etc. At least you got to watch a match. It doesn't seem to be broadcast here in the US. And the Davis Cup website mostly sucks. If they really wanted to make a splash with this new structure, you'd have thought they'd have figured out a way that most of us could watch it. Given that we have posters around the world, I wonder how many are finding it easy to watch matches?

Good,I have Fox Sports here in Sydney which televises it Live and also replays the next day,I guess I can count myself lucky though I do pay a lot for it

Never heard of either one. I assume FS2 means Fox Sports 2 channel and is probably different from just Fox Sports (1) channel.

Croatia lost 3:0 against Russia. I read that seats were pretty much empty. This was mostly not the case in the old format. People cared and there was always support and feel that nations are competing for something important and bo5 format was great and doubles matches were fun to watch. Think this format will be a flop. It's just not the same when all is played in one venue in one week in bo3.

This is the down-side of playing it all in one venue. I read that betting odds were on Spain...well, small wonder. It's being played in Spain! And how many people are going to take a Monday off, in Madrid, to watch Croatia play Russia? Now, on top of it, most of us can't find a way to watch it on TV. It's almost like they want DC to fail.
