I feel like he would greatly consider it. He may do that and skip one of the tournaments leading up to the US Open. The fact that he hasn’t made a decision kind of leads me to believe he will.

Personally, I think it would be foolish, given what is at stake at the USO, and how even a much stronger Serena, (by which I mean then, vs. the field, and mentally tougher, also then,) couldn't get the job done, in a non-Olympic year. But he does seem to want it all, so...who knows?

I agree that completing the CYGS is tough. But, that has nothing to do with Novak participating in the Olympics. It will be tough whether or not he plays in Olympics.

On the other side, if he loses in Olympics to somebody or other, it may act as a relief and grounding for Novak.

If he wins Olympics, the pressure at USO will only marginally increase. Not much increase.

Well why not, I mean if he can get a gold medal it is a nice accomplishment for him. It might ease the pain if he can’t get the US Open at least he didn’t miss out on the opportunity to add something to his resume. The US Open is going to be tough. A lot of people will be gunning for him and there are going to be a lot of headlines. A lot for him to think about on his way to a US Open title.

Novakians, take heart. The next Olympics in Paris is only three years away. While a lot of things can happen, I expect Novak to still be a contender at that time as well, even if not the top dog.

If they decide to play it on clay though, I doubt that he will get Gold (assuming the beast is still around).

You would hope the NG'rs will have gotten their act together to push Fedalovic off the scene altogether! Fed will definitely be gone! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

It has already been stated here and in the press that the 2024 Paris Olympics will be played on clay at Roland Garros.
