Ugly stuff going on after Nebrask's loss to UCLA. Somebody released an
audio tape of two years ago in which Bo Pellini goes at both fans and media
for criticizing him. His tirade is full of expletives. He may lose the job.
But, the university announced today they are supporting him.

War Eagle! Our first conference win in over a year and we did it with 10 seconds left.

I saw the highlights only, but that has to be gratifying!

War Eagle! And speaking of, that is such a cool thing. Saw it once in person and then saw Cam break our hearts as he did everyone that year. Not just saying this because I'm addressing you, but I was really impressed with your fans. I sat in your section that night and they were extremely hospitable. I've been to most of the big SEC venues from Bryant Denny, to Neyland, to Sanford, to the Swamp, to both Death Valleys(I'm including Clemson with LSU as they have an SEC-like setting), to Auburn's Jordan-Hare and would rate your fans the classiest of the bunch!

Based purely on my experiences only, this is how I'd rate the fans of previous mentioned venues from best to worst...

1. Auburn
2. Tennessee
3. Alabama
4. Clemson
5. Florida
6. LSU
7. UGA(even Clemson fans would agree with me on this one)

Loudest of those stadiums(and I'll add ours), again just one man's opinion...

1. LSU(at night)
2. UF
3. Tennessee
4. Auburn
5. South Carolina
6. Georgia
7. Clemson
8. Bama(probably because DuBose was going 3-8 the year I went, obviously different these days)

Hell, while I'm at it, hottest chicks....

1. UGA
2. UF
3. Bama
4. LSU
5. Clemson
6. South Carolina
7. Auburn(albeit didn't look much as I was with one possessive chick!)
8. Tennessee

Anyway, pulling for you guys against those Cajuns!

We have an off week.

I think we are pretty good fans, because we know what its like to lose and live in another teams shadow, so I think appreciate good games and teams, win or lose. Alabama fans are pretty ridiculous, so it gives us something to aspire not to be. LSU fans are probably the most aggressive/ready to pick a fight. I have lived in nola the last couple of years (although I am traveling for grad school this year), and watched a number of auburn games in bars during the 2010 season, and had a couple of incidents where people tried to pick a fight with me for supporting my team. I am level-headed enough though and never took the bait.

On a side note, I thought our loss to LSU was a positive one as far as losses go. 21-0 at half time, last year we would have rolled over and lost 49-0. We looked like we belonged on the field

Yea, without question UGA and LSU are the least classiest fan bases in the SEC. Every fan base has their share of bad apples, but those two tend to stand out and rated them as such. Saw UGA fans key cars and tried to turn over one after we beat them on the last play in '93 and found out this year they take off the bottle caps at concession stands because they are considered "weapons". Their reputation proceeds them and they know it.

Have only been to Baton Rouge once ('94) and was warned about their rep before going. Wasn't as bad as I was led to believe but yea you get 90K+ drunken Cajuns together and it can get downright ugly. Great stadium and so much tradition though. Love the yd marker every 5 yds the HS like goal posts and Mike the Tiger. That place is a zoo especially at night. I take it you've been to a game or two their and a number in Jordan-Hare?

I know you guys aren't into moral victories but you did look like you belonged on the field in Baton Rouge. No doubt you'll be a force in year two of Gus' regime and look to be headed to post season this year. :)

We go to Central Fla this week and after seeing them go into Penn St and win all I want is "a" win, period. 28-27 or 3-2, it doesn't matter. Hopefully we'll be fortunate to come out of Orlando with a win.

I am not sure how I missed this Fedfan. But I was happy with how we played at LSU overall. It showed tonight when we beat A&M. Against LSU we didn't believe until the 2nd half and we could not over come the rough start. This week we gave ourselves a chance to win it at the end and it paid off.

I was disappointed with SC today but what are you going to do.

Yes, I have been to a few game at Jordan-Hare, although it's been a while. A wonderful place to watch football. As I write, Ole Miss is leading LSU. Is tonight the night of upsets?

Great win in College Station! You guys are building some serious Mo!

I didn't see it as I was in Knoxville for our debacle. One of the strangest called games by a Spurrier coached team I can recall. I'm a big Spurrier supporter, but this one was on him. It's never easy to win on the road in this conference and I'll give UT credit for the win. Their crowd made a big difference as well. That's two road trips for me this year(Athens and Knoxville) and that's enough as I usually take one a year.

Yea, upset Saturday in the SEC for sure with UGA and LSU going down as well. And what about Mizzou! (And yes, I'm dreading our game with them next but you never know.) As you know this conference has traditionally beat up on each other and don't you know Bama is now more than a little worried about their trip to the Plains!

Yes Mizzou is quite good. They have a great defensive front four. I was surprised. I hadn't seen them until last weekend and they really were impressive on both sides of the ball. With Shaw out, it is going to be very tough work for sc to win, but you guys have a couple of great players. It's kind of the opposite of Auburn. We have no superstar but don't have any link that is too weak. It is amazing how much better a team can be with a different coach.

Yes Alabama might have something to worry about in the iron bowl. We have gotten better with each win, but we still have a lot of game before that. After this week we have 4 sec games in a row to close out the season.

Very proud of our guys on the Mizzou win. One of our biggest in quite some time. Shaw came in and did a pretty good Kirk Gibson imitation in the 4rth rallying the troups down from an 0-17 deficit. That said we were very fortunate with their guy missing a chip shot to send it to a 3rd OT and us converting a 4rth and 15 to send it to the second. VERY lucky! And to be honest probably didn't deserve to win fumbling away opportunities earlier. But maybe it evened after what happened in Rocky Top the week prior. My big concern is can we handle success as we didn't after blowing out Ark on the road then coming out flat and losing at UT the next week. Holding breath on that one.

Hope you guys finish strong. If there was a vote right now, I think Malzahn would have to be coach of the year. Amazing turnaround!

Yeah Connor Shaw isn't one of the most talented players on the planet, but he can a similar effect that Tebo had. You guys deserved to win as much as Mizzou deserved to love, giving up a three score (possesion) lead in the fourth! You guys might actually get to the SEC championship now, you probably have a better chance of getting there than Auburn, but I have my fingers crossed for the rest of the season. It will be interesting to see what lsu can do against Alabama. I think it could be a much more routine win for Alabama than people expect.

I'm taking it one game at a time. We have a bye week. You guys do what we failed to do in Knoxville!

Yes Mizzou chastening Tenn. this weeked might be just what the doctor ordered for Auburn, plus we have a lot of road momentum. I can't believe we are 8-1! Eight wins was my hope for the season in a rebuilding year, so extra wins are just gravy. I am routing for Oklahoma to knock out Baylor...

Hey Mox! You guys are picking it up finally, I thought Texas may be in free fall.

That is a good approach. Hopefully, some of your walking dead players will get some good rest and be primed for the last couple games.

What an incredible ending for the Auburn v. Alabama game. Saban wants the 1 second put back on the clock so he can try for a field goal. Umpires acquiesce. Bama misses the field goal wide and Auburn returns it 100 yards for the winning TD. Great game.

I know! We were all afraid that might make the darn kick, not expecting to win on returning it. May be the best Iron Bowl I have ever seen.

I cant imagine it being too pleasant around the Saban household these days... that little Napoleonic ego manic probably blew a gasket.

I really enjoyed watching his press conference after, utter disbelief. It was good foresight by our coach to put a guy back there... It was definitely some great redemption after not even scoring in the last two iron bowls...

If Auburn wins SEC title, the voters will show their obvious bias to SEC and
promote Auburn ahead of Ohio state leading another year of controversy over BCS.

I wish this would happen for selfish reasons, but I strongly doubt it. Plus Ohio State still has to beat a their toughest opponent of the season in Michigan State.

Also there is a bias toward the SEC, but it is a reasonable bias based on 7 years of bcs domination that is not to be discounted. I think OSU should go to the championship if they are undefeated, but I don't think they are that good personally, I just think its fair. It's not Ohio State's fault that this is a particularly weak era for the rest of the Big 10, but Ohio State has not been that great in beating even a lot of mediocre teams.

I wanted Alabama to win just for the sake of a good national title game. If it is FSU and OSU the former is winning by 30. That was a hell of a game though and now I'm hoping Auburn makes it. I'd watch out for Michigan State next week. OSU really isn't that good so that is probably 60-40 next week IMO.

What's everyone think of the Winston case? Sounds like there was a definite lack of evidence and consistency on the accuser's part but also no surprise that there was not much of an effort made by Tallahassee PD.

I tend to believe the accusers in a rape case unless there is an obvious motive to lie (Kobe Bryant's case as an example...$$$) and there really isn't one here.
