Even though Rublev is in the Top Ten,his overall game needs more variety,his transition game to the net for starters.,especially if he wants to got further in GS tournaments and ATP1000 events.Well you know how it is; the top players need some kind of fodder to fill a draw so they aren't on the tennis courts alone!

Yes he knows pretty much how to smack the ball and also how to keep it play since he reached top 10, but he is missing variety and soft touch to reach higher level. Still like the guy.
I had a feeling Rublev had no chance against Zverev. Yes, Zverev has no reason to go out before SF in USO, unless he finds a way to beat himself again which he does often in slams when it matters.
Rublev is interesting. He's sort of in the same group as Zverev, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, etc., but he's a bit behind. They're all taller, for one thing. It will be interesting to see how all of these guys managed each other, going forward, as it does make sense that we're talking real potential rivalries.
He's been playing pretty great tennis since he turned things around in his OG SF v. Novak in Tokyo. It is the kind of match that changes your confidence and your fortunes. He'll be well-aware that everyone thinks he collapses at Majors. Will be interesting to see how much game and bravado he brings to the USO. He has the hot hand at the moment. Djokovic's cooled a bit in Tokyo, and Medvedev's hopingly not broken in Cincy by a camera box.
