^ Mostly the slow as hell court to be honest. It'd be a different story if he had only 3 aces on a fast court but just look at that video above. Some of the rallies are painfully slow and very difficult to hit winners. It's no surprise whatsoever that Djokovic is undefeated here as he can run down shots that would be winners on any faster court it's just that slow. Kyrgios was belting the ball against Paire too and he was running down every ball that would've been a clean winner on a faster court.

I was watching the highlights and like I always have thought and seen before, Isner without the serve is like an octopus in a garage, lack of a good movement and making many errors trying to survive :cover

Let's give credit where credit is due. Isner's low # of aces had something to do with the fact that he was facing the best returner in the game in Djokovic.

I'm not taking any credit to his opponent who is the best player at the present but Isner without aces doesn't have too many weapons to beat anyone and the proof is that result :nono

Carol---I'm afraid your missing my point. The reason Isner only had 3 Aces WAS because he was facing Djokovic; it wasn't that he was having a bad serving day which made Novak look good. Here's a direct quote from Tennis.com:

* * *

And yesterday Djokovic put on one of his all-time return-of-serve clinics against John Isner. He broke the usually unbreakable American four times, held him to three aces, and won 50 percent of the points on Isner’s serve. He lost just nine points on his own serve.

“Today was a great match,” Djokovic said. No other answer was possible.

Watching Rafa vs. Fog

I really miss when Rafa ran around his backhand to do a FH. That's been his biggest weakness imo since he started struggling (besides getting nervous). I get slicing backhands. It's a great change up and neutralizer; but he hadn't had to resort to it before - with this much frequency- for the fact that he ran around his backhand.

7-5 Yesss :D Go Rafa.

Too bad "it's a gift!" F3 gave that away; not able to hold his own serve! I wouldn't be thrilled if I were Rafa! :cover

These days, we can't be picky AND, after all the breaks he's given away with Double Faults, he deserves some luck his way. lol.

I wasn't as confident as you, isabelle, but I just couldn't see Nadal letting Foggy take another one. So we get a Novak-Rafa final now?

Lol, after "all the gifts" that Nadal gave to Fog this last summer, what did you expect, one more? no way!

I guess, I can't imagine Ferrer winning the semi. Nole /Nadal final IMO
