My one question about Cillic is why would I be outraged that Marin got caught and penalized? The outrage would come if he got caught, and did not get penalized.

Ah, so as long as someone pays the penalty, there's no outrage for the crime? What kind of twisted logic is that? The guy CHEATED. Yes, he got caught and paid for it...but he cheated. That says a lot about the kind of person he is. Then he returns and...wins a major.

Now, had the issue in this thread simply been about Nadal not being penalized more and asking for Carlos' removal, it would be one thing. But as I've proven (yes, proven), it was filled with moral/ethical takes about Nadal and the kind of person he is.

Yes, and he got penalized. I never liked Cillic, but there was no debate because no one likes Cillic so who cares, the guy got what he deserved. I don't criticize Rafa because he breaks the rules (Novak did the same thing for a very long time. In both cases, it annoys me, but it's the fault of the ATP for not enforcing it), but because he does not think the rules should apply to him. I only said that a system that allows a player to request not to be officiated was corrupt, and explicitly said that I am not convinced either way on the corruption of Rafa.
