Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia (after Sydney and Melbourne) with a population of 2.4 million. It is the state capital of Queensland.

One of the oldest cities in Australia, Brisbane was founded upon the ancient homelands of the aboriginal Turrbal and Jagera people. The Central Business District is on the Brisbane River with the popular South Bank cultural precinct flanking the other side.

The South Bank area includes the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), which is located at South Bank, consists of the Lyric Theatre, a Concert Hall, Cremorne Theatre and the Playhouse Theatre and is home to the Queensland Ballet, Opera Queensland, Queensland Theatre Company,

Brisbane hosted the 1982 Commonwealth Games and the 1988 World Expo. The two events laid the foundations that saw Brisbane transform from a regional country town into an international city.

Brisbane has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and dry warm winters.

First question is if Murray will get out of the initial round.

Just like finding Waldo, one fun thing to do when the draw comes up is to locate the player who can take out Ralph. Serious candidate would be Nick in the finals. Semi serious candidates would be Milos in SF (not sure what is his current status in terms of injury and also in terms of form) and D-Minor in QF (would need lot of crowd support).

Fit Tsonga will also have a decent shot- 3 wins on HC.

Kokkinakis just qualified and got slotted in to play Jo-Wil in first round. TBH, I think at this point he'd be the tougher opponent for Rafa, for those of you who are circling around that.

I've read Rafa is doing some changes with his serve, hope it's going to work well and protecting his knee
Nadal, Muzz and Tsonga are coming back from injuries, how they will play?

I am just jealous that my aunt is there right now for the tournament and from there she will go to Melbourne to catch some AO action.
Maybe one day I will have a chance to visit that part of the world.

Your Istanbul clay 250 is no more. What happened? Did they go bankrupt after paying Rog millions.

Weird injuries that tennis players have! Apparently a spider bit Nick and his leg was swollen preventing him from prepping well for Brisbane.

He will need to play well, because he is defending 250 points and he could drop easily further down the eankings.
