It is amazing that two 32 year olds came up with victory in grueling heat and in
tough three setters.
Absolutely my dear, where are the young guns ???
Good question, isabelle, and I'm following it up with Front's post:

Wouldn't surprise me at all, kskate2. Hewitt's some fierce competitor even at 32 bust up with a steel plate through his big toe. The guy can only be admired. On that note, Stepanek has a steel plate in his neck and is 35! Some tough nuts out there.
There are some tough nuts out there, and a lot of them are over 30, and not so many seem to be under 25. I watched a good bit of Hewitt d. Nishikori last night, and Kei was wilting. He just turned 24 6 days ago! Yes, it was hot, and yes, Lleyton had the crowd, but Kei is supposed to be hungrier than that. I expected to see Roger in the finals, and Hewitt is a former #1, but I still say it's an indictment against the younger guys. They should see what ambition and drive really looks like and hang their heads.
Rant over. I think Roger will take this. He'll be pumped and ready, but he'd better not give Hewitt a lot of rope. There's a whole cheering section dressed in yellow and green.
