Osaka did have time off the tour to address her 'mental' issues. Her way of addressing the issues was to go to any and every red carper show, etc, just buried her head in the sand.Came back said she was refreshed and wanting to play.....well that didnt last long.
Osaka has been given a wild card into Miami,it will not surprise me if after this latest 'outburst' she does not play.
Osaka needs to toughen up or retire, she is a very rich young woman, she can use her money for her own personal causes.
That’s it. I think her personal cause is Naomi-me-ME!, to be honest…

This poor girl is getting worse and worse, she should learn to keep her feet on the ground

All the fan said was Naomi " You suck"! I have had WORST said to me on the south side of Chicago or indoors in Barrington I'll..Once, two guys from Ohio heckled me during a USTA tournament. I beat the crap out of both of them in the semi and finals.I knew they had fragile net games and I lured them to the net in separate matches . I hit one in the head with an overhead smash and the other I hit with a passing shot in the chest. I thank both of them including their girlfriends afterwards the trophy ceremony.

I was taught at a very young age, either you gonna fight or be a sissy! In layman's terms, when the going get tough, the tough get going!

BTW with Coco Gauff turning 18 today...I did wish her Happy Birthday
Coco will have no more restrictions playing the tour from now on
I don't like this matchup with Simona..Simona is a moody backboard of a player. Coco can't afford to give up cheap points like UFEs and dfs to a steady player like Halep. Coco is capable of raising her level to this capable of player. Can she do it for a possible 3 sets, IDK.

Hopefully. I like Coco and I’m glad she didn’t burst to the very top of the game so young. She’s still only 18, but seems like she’s around forever. I think we’ll start to see her as factor in slams over the next couple of years. Simona is a toughie though..

Okay I am back from work after being called in at the last moment given an early mark

Well Iga I read is still finding solutions....( have heard that phrase before from her idol Rafa)

Iga is still my tip to win at IW.....though Clara is a player on the up and up

Emma Radanucu still has not won 2 matches back to back
Though Petra Martic has been in the tennis wilderness for sometime
I am surprised though delighted with Petra's win,she has a good game lets see if she can consolidate?

Whomever attending this match ,pay very close attention to the way Halep strikes the ball and her foot movement. It's something special to see live. Enjoy

Seeing Halep has height disadvantage, her footwork has to be strong,....I think a lot of praise should go to her former coach Darren Cahill

Halep was always a good ball striker , Cahill taught her to harness her emotions and to belief that she could defeat anyone.

Listen to TC Jason Goodall and Lindsey Davenport are giving a week worth of $90 private tennis sessions. They are awesome. This is what Mary Carillo, Mary Jo and those others ones I don't care for do not provide when they are on air

I am talking about her feet, have to have good footwork to play the ball in the first place
Go and watch Serena and Venus they had plenty of time to chose their shots, because of their footwork.
Both ladies are at the Critics Choice Awards today...looking great as usual
