Carlos addressing the rogue crowd. You ain't gotta go home, but you got to GET THE H OUTTA HERE! :face-with-hand-over-mouth:
All the DRAMA match.. this is definitely match of the tournament for Must see. What makes this so compelling because these two are the POLAR opposites and I am not talking about Bi Polar. If both are playing at their best, Rafa's tennis IQ and ball striking should prevail.

Couple of cheeky drops shots there from Nick to hold. He's still holding his head.

Nick would lose a game if he got another violation, no?
Oh, that's a good question. Not just a point? It does have to be of the same kind. Apparently swearing and breaking your racquet are in the same category.

I’m googling it, and found two sites which say a third violation means loss of game.
I did too and this is what it says about subsequent violations:

Generally, this results in the following escalation:

  • First offense: Warning
  • Second offense: Loss of a point
  • Third (and each subsequent) offense: Loss of a game
After the third offense, it is up to the chair umpire or tournament director whether this constitutes a Default/Disqualification.

I think it point, game, set and match.. Remember Serena's situation a the US Open when she told the lines woman she would give her a endoscopy with the tennis racket

It would be huge, but Nick has to know the rules better than anyone, given how often he runs close to or on the other side of them. He knows what he can't do, going forward.

I don't think he loses the game, he loses another point, right?
From the ATP handbook:

a) The Point Penalty Schedule to be used for Code Violations is as follows:
FIRST OFFENSE - warning
SECOND OFFENSE - point penalty
THIRD AND EACH SUBSEQUENT OFFENSE - game penalty
However, after the third Code Violation, the Supervisor shall determine whether each subsequent offense shall constitute a default.

EDIT: I see you found it already.

And he finished the game with a heartbreaker for Kyrgios.

I doubt if Nick cares about what happens going forward.. he came, he gave a show and we will see if he wants it. The UFEs that Rafa is accumulating is because Nick is so dangerous and talented. He cant play with a lot of margin for error today. Nick will get him is he takes his foot off the gas.
