Sounds like a gossip, but heard the other day that Zverev broke up with his girlfriend. This might be behind his poor recent form although they always claim some injury problems when they have some personal issues. I can see him playing much better after he digs himself out of the hole. Same happened to Coric a year or so ago.

Yep, he is no pussy but needs one desperately :D

I thought his love was for his dogs. In any case, Alex loses the first set to young Chilean Garin.

Garin was 2 points from the match, but Zverev won the 2nd 7-5.

He had 3 MPs on serve
Wow, thanks! I'm only able to watch the scores, so it's not easy to keep up. I see Zverev got the break for 4-2 in the 3rd, then Garin broke straight back. Seems like a dog fight. I wish TC were showing it.

What a drama. Garin serving for the match again.

Why would TC be playing Gofin? I guess they want me to buy TC Plus. Lol anyway Garin is special and a man on the rise. I'd put stock in him now no matter the surface. Depending on his results in Madrid and Rome he might be seeded at The French. If I was a highly ranked seed at these upcoming tournaments I would not want to face him no matter the round.

Would not want to face. Is what I was going for.

Agreed on Garin, but there is an "edit" button so you can correct your original post if you want.

Garin continues to impress. He's at #39 in the live rankings, which means he's got a very good chance of being seeded at Roland Garros - assuming he plays in and wins some matches at Madrid and/or Rome.

I would rather want him unseeded and take out Ralph in 1R.

Be careful what you wish for. He could also be placed to take out Roger/Novak/Thiem early, too.
Like I said none of these guys as well as Rafa want him in their draw especially an early round.

And you are absolutely right. GSM is constantly on the hunt for someone to take out Nadal, particularly on clay. But that can be a double-edged sword. I suspect it will be a moot point, as Garin is looking like someone who's time has come to step up, at least next level. Clay is his best surface, and he'll have a few opportunities to make the main draw cut before RG. I'm suspecting he'll take them. He may go into Madrid a bit tired, as he's still in this tournament, but he's got more than a few chances left to gain points.

Berrettini has even better chance to get seeded, just a hair outside, currently ranked #34 in the live ranking. And he also is on a 8 winning streak on clay.

Garin into the final, but the other semi (RBA v. Berretini) gets postponed by weather, to be played in the morning, before the final. You've gotta like Garin's chances, then.

I'm assuming he's filling one of the qualifier positions no matter the results today in Madrid. Garin reminds me of a bigger stronger version of Almagro. I liked his chances before this advantage.
