Or one could say journeyman up 6-1 5-4 and 30-0 botches a routine volley and proceeds to serve worse than he has all match. Before that game he'd lost one point on serve in set 1 and 3 in set 2. It was all Rosol going pear shaped there.

I cant understand Why does Rafa lets off the gas when he has your guy Rosol on the ropes

Handling pressure is part of winning the match. Rosol has buckled here in the second... :clap

Mi Lord, R you Nostradamus or what.. Fronty guy Rosol choked and dblfaulted the set away. Yes Rafa stepped up but I have to admit Rosol choked like the Seahawks coach Pete C in the SB.

I olny came in at 5-4, but even the bit I've seen shows that rafa's resurgence continues, though he's struggling to adjust to the indoor court pace...

I've seen it too many times to ever give a player credit for winning over the "Big 4" until the match is over! Players with MP's or 2 points away can "forget" how to play in the crunch! I'm sure you remember Dimitrov was murdering Murray in Cincy, a game away and let it go! Lopez was up 5-1 in a TB against Roger on clay in Europe a few years ago, butchered an overhead at the net and won only a point or 2 after Federer got it back even at 6 all! Tsonga had 4 MP's against Nole at the FO a couple years ago and let it go! Happens all the time believe it! That's one of the reasons I don't watch early round matches; few complete the deal when up significantly! This match is over and Rafa will move on; mark my words! :cover :nono :puzzled  :dodgy:

Just because it's Rosol, I'll be happy for Rafa to win this match. I don't like that he only raises his game against one player, and I always love when Rafa defeats bloke who face him with animosity as their fuel. Vamos...

All the commotion on TF woke me up so I had to see what was going on.

Whoa. Was Nadal really 2 pts from losing? Nice comeback! Rosol looks done.

Brotha, you wouldn't have enjoyed the parts you missed, This was a very brutal beginning to this match. Rosol could do no Wrong(very bad English) and Rafa couldn't keep the ball in the court. I really cant say that Rafa did anything significantly better but keep the ball in play until late in the 2nd set.

I wouldn't mind him getting through so he could meet Roger, but I don't think either will make the final! :cover :eyepop :nono

Oh, I'd love a Fedal final. Another indoor title would give Rafa the biggest boost... :)

He doesn't just raise his game for Nadal. He just matches up well against him. Short balls are just begging to be smacked away and he's only too happy to oblige. Luckily for Nadal there's always likely to be a dip out of nowhere from Rosol like we saw at the end of set 2. Gave up watching after that and he probably won't win more than another 1 game. None wouldn't surprise me one bit actually.

Yeah, you can pretty much guarantee that if they meet in a final, Fed will just hand over his milk money.
