Anyone who goes to the final from group B will have tough time because the guys from that group will have tough matches before reaching the final.1972Murat said:I think if they asked Nadal to hand pick his group, this is what he would pick. I think B is tougher.

what today has to do with what Nadal was set up to do after the UO?
He is on a mission for the missing hardware, daaaaavid ain't if enough to derail that. Like I said, Novak it's the only one favorite against him but I like Rafa's chances against a somewhat tired Novak IF that's the case.
Front242 said:On this surface he'd have a hard time against Del Potro and Fed too and nothing I've seen from him on indoor this year makes me change this viewpoint for now.

He only played one indoor tournament this year; what are you talking about? Fed has a much of a chance as Novak ending year end #1 this year :laydownlaughing
Delpo it's running close to empty and for sure he will be exhausted if he survives Fed. It's not like Rafa hasn't played great tennis before on that surface which it's slower btw than Paris.

Yeah I meant based on what I saw this week he wasn't that convincing. It's clearly Nadal's best shot at winning the WTF, no disputing that, but it's a bit NADAL2005RG-esque to proclaim him the winner already is all I'm saying.
Kieran said:In fairness, we've seen Rafa look off his game before - until he needed it. 2010 US Open is an example - he didn't look so great in the preceding HC events. I think he'll up the tempo next week and do well. I'm not personally fearing any match with Nole because if Rafa turns up turned on, I fancy him against anyone. But...he needs to improve significantly on this week...

The way Rafa is playing now, an in-form Ferrer smashed him...
