Tracy Austin is an idiot. In an attempt to compliment Lendl for developing the notion of changing racquets when there's a ball change, and for being so detail oriented, she just called Lendl "the Lance Armstrong of tennis". :cover

Fortunately, Annacone and Carillo quickly stepped in, but nevertheless ...

That was horrendous! What could possibly be on her feeble mind? :cover :nono :puzzled  :dodgy:

Congrats to Kei! He puts the pressure back on Rafa to defend Madrid or win Rome in order to protect his 4th seed into RG.

They need to scratch their heads in the seeding house though. Samurai is #1 seed? :lolz: :lolz:

Just woke up to see that Nishikori took his second straight Barcelona title! :woohoos

Way to go Kei! :clap

I guess they got it right for Nishikori to be seeded No. 1! :snicker What happened to the "rightful" No. 1 seed again? :laydownlaughing

Now it's time for Nishikori to start winning Masters and a Grand Slam. A Djokovic-Nishikori French Open final would be very interesting.

That would be watchable; either result! :popcorn  :dodgy:

Samurai might be the only one who can challenge Djoker on clay right now.

I think it will depend on how cleanly he can move through the first few rounds. If Kei has to win multiple five-setters, like he did at the USO, but this time on clay, there's a good chance he will be worn out by the time he gets to Novak -- a guy we know is fully capable of going the distance.

Very true. Somebody will need to wear out Djokovic for a couple of rounds while Nishikori zooms through without dropping a set.

Just watched the highlights. Kei has such a sweet backhand, love it. Great job defending his title here, one of the best 500 events.

I haven't seen the match but I was told that Andujar been the #66 ranked has given a tough time to Nishi but his double fault in the most critical moment of the second set has helped the Japenese to win.
I think Nishi could win Roma, maybe Madrid too and for sure RG...

I would love to see that second set, if someone can post it I would appreciate it a lot, thanks in advance ;)
